QUOTE Ok thanks... just wanna sign up early to avoid the RM200 activation charges. call Unifi to confirm it. u can try to find service availability in unifi website.. if the area can match your hse phone number, you can try to register already. I wish to thanks for Riz's guide on Customized Router, I have successfully configured my newly bought TP Link TL-WR941N internet wireless router as VLAN bridge from TM-DLink DIR-615, they work flawlessly !
Currently all my equipment (PC notebook, iMac, iPod touch, Blackberry Bold, Squeezebox (network media player) are connected wirelessly with DHCP from TL-WR941N without any problem. Here's the speedtest result. ![]() Thanks again to Riz and kudos to his wonderful writeup ! Auronthas p/s: My UNIFI just being installed 3 days ago, TM D-Link DIR working very well 24/7 with notebook fan running 24/7, but decided to customize the above setup to reduce DIR-615 stress and prolong its life. |

QUOTE(billytong @ Sep 6 2010, 12:15 PM) I believe so as DIR-615 not hot at all when I touch on the top surface. I bought the notebook fan from Lowyat accesssories shop for only RM 19, currently I place both DIR-615 and TL-WR941N on top of the notebook fan |

QUOTE(wcewong @ Sep 6 2010, 09:53 AM) Hi, its actually quite easy, just use the following command: Hi, Just a question. How do you identify hostile traffic from Chinese IPs?CODE /ip firewall nat <press enter> add chain=srcnat action=masquerade src-address=<CIDR notation of your network e.g. 192.168.1.0/24> Then it automatically works like a charm. You can surf and so on! I would suggest you configure the firewall further as well. I seem to be getting hostile traffic from Chinese IPs every minute. |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Sep 6 2010, 12:33 PM) if you downgrade, after the promotion period, you would need to pay a fee for that. If you upgrade, you dont need to... BUT if you guys read carefully...either you downgrade or upgrade, your contract will be reset back to 24 months tied service... so you guys should really think carefully and decide if you want to remain on that package or change... |

Yes .. my UNIFI is now up and running again, the local exchange guys paid a visit just now, checked the problem with the BTU, somehow, according to them, the password set on the BTU doesn't match the one at the back end, hence, the authentication problem. When that solved, everything back to normal .. now I need to test out the file download .. will create new report if I still have the problem.
