The router issue if you care to search has been revisited so many times. Please back track this thread.

If you can't access your wifi after restarting your unifi equipment especially the dlink box then it's very likely your RG are toasted! Even more so if you consistently get the Orange Globe of Death!

Solution are a few...
1. Flash the dlink with ddwrt - lost iptv
2. Use the dlink as a vlan switch with your own router - all should work
3. Use a manage switch in between - one area where a lot of interest in the mikrotik board (but no source to purchase yet!)

On the common question:
1. Can I re-use old number - No
2. Are there penalty upgrade from Streamyx to Unifi - No
3. Installation time - please call and set your appointment. I have done it on Saturday... I doubt they'll do on Sunday...

Please search the forum. Information are plenty...

They will do on Sunday. Last time my appointment was on Sunday before I changed it due to the place I am staying don't allow any installations on Sundays. Crappy rule made me have to wait another week for my Unifi

How can I check whether my application is being processed? I applied through an agent. How can i know whether the application is alrdy in their system? Is there a website like that for streamyx to check subscription status?

Why apply through agent? Just call the Unifi Service Center. It's so fast you can register and set up appointment in the same day. At least that's what happened with me.

My Unifi connection was down the entire day. Now its up and I'm getting 10mbit speeds (using 20mbit package - previously only getting 1mbit).

Its better than before, but still not up to standard.

netload and hotfile seems to go at around 100kB/s only... Tried downloading WC3 Patch, goes to 700kB/s.... Are they starting to throttle DDL sites dy?

Everything goes back to normal, I had vdsl line sync issue at 7am for half an hour and now everything seems to be normal, even HF and NL speed is back.

Cheers...

Some dd-wrt guru currently are working on nvram command lines to make Broadcom chipset port-based vlans to work:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php...er=asc&start=30
they even confirmed some dd-wrt routers already and the list seem to be growing:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Route...7t_support_VLAN

Has anyone tried and confirmed whether it works to tag both internet & iptv? hmm.gif
Unfortunately ,I don't have anyone of these routers..... sad.gif

I'm also newbie to this kind of command lines, I read & follow these:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Switched_Ports

So basically you need to telnet into the router and make sure you capture the following original values before starting anything:
nvram show | grep vlan.ports
nvram show | grep port.vlans
nvram show | grep vlan.hwname

You may have to figure out the port number assignment as different routers has different numbers assignment.

Good luck, really hope to hear some positive news! nod.gif
