Hi Sohlican,

Are u using the splitter that came in the package?

Care to share ur setup?

Thanks!
*
I am getting mine installed today. I tested the fax at a friend's place.

I did not know there's a splitter that came with unifi, instead I told him to buy a normal RJ11 splitter and connect it to the port that was connected to the phone, then split it out 1 to 2, one connect to the phone one connected to the fax.

netload and hotfile seems to go at around 100kB/s only... Tried downloading WC3 Patch, goes to 700kB/s.... Are they starting to throttle DDL sites dy?

Everything goes back to normal, I had vdsl line sync issue at 7am for half an hour and now everything seems to be normal, even HF and NL speed is back.

Cheers...

Guys, I need help on my VOIP. The technician that came and install my unifi wasn't able to setup my VOIP, he claims that he setup mostly on huawei BTU but since I stay in a high rise building, TM gave me a ZTE 931 VDSL2 modem instead and they can't get it setup.

Anyone with ZTE 931 VDSL2 Modem and have their VOIP up and running, would you mine taking a screenshot of that VOIP Basic Setting page for me?

Thank you very much.

im surprised you signed the acceptance form.  I live in a high rise too, but the techs got all my services running (after running into a problem at the riser level). after i made sure everything was tested (they insisted on making me turn on IPTV and calling using the DECT phone). btw im also on ZTE BTU.

Great! I signed it coz I need them to go as I need my sleep coz I work midnight.

Do you mind login into the ZTE BTU and take a screenshot of that Voice Setting Page for me?

Hi Guys,

i've followed the guide provided in this link

http://unifi.athena.my/index.php?option=co...id=49&Itemid=61

but still no go. my setup is like

huawei modem -> dlink DIR-615 (Bridge mode) -> Aztech Router WL830RT4 -> PC/Laptop

i follow the link above and set the same setting in Dlink DIR-615 and able to dial up from my pc, but it doesn't dial if i using the Aztech router to dial. i confirmed Aztech router settings are correct and when i checked the log from Aztech router and it keep showing message

Sending PADI...
Sending PADI...
Sending PADI...
Request timed out.

oh ya, i notice my LAN icon from taskbar showing limited connectivity if i plug the DIR-615 directly to my PC after i set the DIR-615 to bridge mode. Is this correct?

anyway, if above solution not possible..will it be possible if i upgrade to DD-WRT firmware and set as bridge mode again to use above setup? if possible how should i do it?

i found this tutorial site but i do not know which is the correct tutorial to configure bridge mode for DD-WRT firmware. rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

any kind soul can help me out here?  cry.gif

One thing everyone must know, all your devices, BTU, D-Link, Custom Router; these 3 devices cannot have the same IP range.

Example

BTU 192.168.1.1
D-Link 192.168.0.1
Router (Make sure your IP is xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) Don't let it be the same as 192.168.1.x and 192.168.0.x

I am having phobia turning off/restarting the ZTE VDSL2 modem. Everytime I turned it off, I will have to wait nearly an hour to get a stable link.

Grr....

So far I don't have any problems with corrupted downloads yet. I'm on ZTE VDSL box with DIR 615 as router. VOIP and Internet also working fine but noticed the service degrading during late night (around 10pm). Online game lags a bit and certain sites are slow to access/download.

My internet was down from 9pm and it just went online. I am getting pissed. I am using the ZTE VDSL too. My max download currently is at 100kB/s

Sigh...

I lost my VDSL sync at 9PM (6th Sep 2010), VDSL sync came back at 9AM (7th Sep 2010).

Speed is capped at 2.xmB/s (Torrent, DDL, Speedtest)
IPTV stutter like there's no tomorrow

Great!

Oh ya, everytime I turn off my VDSL modem and turn it back on, the first time it took me 12 hours to get back the sync, the second time took me 2 hours.

For people using ZTE 931 Series VDSL 2 Modem.

Below are the settings for VOIP

First of all, you have to set your NIC to a static IP of 192.168.1.2 with a subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Gateway you may leave it blank.

Then connect a LAN cable from your computer's NIC to LAN 2 or LAN 3 or LAN 4 of the VDSL 2 modem. Do not use LAN 1.

Then access to the Web GUI of the VDSL 2 modem via a web browser by pointing it to 192.168.1.1

User/Pass = admin

Click on Voice on the left menu panel and you'll this page below.

All of the info are entered at column 1 and make sure the Account Enabled box is ticked under 1

Below are the screen shots of how the settings should be (May varies if you are from a different exchange, I am from Puchong)

My problem is fixed for now, on site technician came and agrees with me that there's an issue with my VDSL port. Once he called port management to change my port, every thing seems to be fine now.

He and I also agree that we should monitor the problem for a few days before closing the trouble ticket.

I am glad someone actually knows what they are doing.
