im having problem connecting to umobile for the past few days .. my setup csl modem + PWH2004 prolink 3g wifi router. it's been working all these while .. but not for a few days now .. anyone having the same problem? Even is I use the dashboard connection on computer ... sometimes it just give the prompt "login failed" . Location - Kajang

Umobile is Very problematic. My U68 speed is only around 100kbps for the past two weeks which is drastically reduced from 700kbps. Anyone has this problem as well?

Seriously frustrated with them cheating on customers.

How about using different modem or phone? USIM rosak? Contact customer service.

My U mobile broadband often unable to open website between 10:30pm to 12:00pm midnight.

if broadband-data only sim: reset is first of the month

if prepaid: follow broadband subscription cycle

call CS to lodge an official report. only they can answer these.



could be throttled after reaching your quota.

and btw, read the previous pages: there could be new throttle speed when FUP kicks in.

seems like UM users are having problems since the launch of YES, could Wimax interfering wif UM signal or juz tat because of the Cap and FUP?

if YES wimax interferes with umobile, why not to celcom/maxis/digi too?

or better still, affecting directly to P1?

if such interference will occur, would MCMC assign wimax spectrum to wimax operators, knowing it will interfere with existing telco giants (celcom or maxis)?


for the problems so far, there are 2 types:

1) slow speed after throttle; whereby users are ignorant/refuse to understand the need for FUP.

again, if ppl jumping to other telcos, i wonder which of them offer higher throttle speed >128kbps? Digi? maxis? or dare i say Celcom???

remember: compare the price too, dont just look at one aspect (i.e want cheap cheap plan, but want unlimited everything! who's going to give you such service?!)

in short: you dont get both unlimited speed and unlimited quota. you get either, or.

i.e.

you get unlimited speed, but you will get throttled after a certain limit [FUP]

if you want unlimited quota, you dont get unlimited speed [not offered by ALL wireless broadband telcos, but only from Streamyx]


2) lately there are some connectivity issues stated by few users above. wonder what are the reasons.

any1 got the answers from CS?

UM have UMobile 2G? when im at non-3g coverage area, it shows UM 2G on my phone not Celcom.

Look like you also exceeded the data quota and capped at 128kbps.

hmm, i used celcom before (phone line), no prob at all. now i use maxis, no prob as well. broadband maxis use to suck but this past month has been good. U mobile/DiGi, terrible. wimax for sure la no coverage. all service providers (including Yes) only focus at bukit beruntung golf club, no fair!
i'm at bukit sentosa actually, so dnt know la coverage at real bukit beruntung how.

few more days before my cap is finally removed...
now all the pictures load halfway..

somemore these ppl in LYN like to upload humongous pictures..

This is another issues where I strongly believe is marketting and monopoly complain over MCMC.
I am sure they come out a meeting where set the standard for all FUP to 128kbps.

Behind on that, the politics also got slightly involve a little bit.
If not, I think Digi sure have better and cheaper Broadband service if last time can get 3G license instead of all other X company.

He the one kbkb when Digi share over TIME 3G spectrum.

lol....section 7 almost ~3km away from bukit sentosa near bus terminal.... YES shows how sucks there are coz limited coverage and Pay Per Use plan.... im now staying in my parent house in bukit beruntung coz no lecture for this month..... but hope Umobile service available at Penang (and HSPA+ 21Mbps ) after my lecture starts next year....

tried with other modem. still the same. contact CS - no resolution yet.


i can understand if they are capping my line, du to reset in a few more days -- but not frequent dc.

agree on the frequent dc. not so good.

do let them lodge your report and give them some time to check. CS are not network engineers anyway, they can only assist whenever possible to resolve your matter.
