How about using different modem or phone? USIM rosak? Contact customer service.
tried with other modem. still the same. contact CS - no resolution yet.

call CS to lodge an official report. only they can answer these.
could be throttled after reaching your quota.
i can understand if they are capping my line, du to reset in a few more days -- but not frequent dc.

agree on the frequent dc. not so good.

do let them lodge your report and give them some time to check. CS are not network engineers anyway, they can only assist whenever possible to resolve your matter. wink.gif

Latest update - Change my U SIM as advised by the CS. Still frequent dc. Called them again, then they enquire their technical people, then told me that the new capped is 128Kbps - can use on phone only, not modem. Is that true? Does it means I can just tether it using my phone to use internet whenever they capped my umobile? Never heard os this before.. What I can do now is wait till it resets this coming 1st Dec. Argh... frustrated

so confirmed capped speed is 128kbps. maybe time for cruxidex to update post #1 tongue.gif
i wonder why change usim?
*
yep, confirmed. not sure - they told me that maybe the U SIM faulty and causing lost signal that's why keeps on dc. but after change U SIM, they advise me to use phone instead of modem.

after just 2 weeks i got capped again... i hope umobile can add more plan ... maybe 10-15gb permonth for RM100? 5gb is just too small for me... not a heavy downloader .. surfing 5/6 hrs per day and office vpn from home.. sigh

I heard that certain ISP operate a blacklist system. If you are in the blacklist, you are monitored like you said.

What i would do? Change to other ISP or terminate the current line and resubscribe.  icon_rolleyes.gif

Almost every month user over use the quota set by the ISP. That is what i heard of.
Not sure in your case. I only heard that the blacklist system usually operate in the area where the traffic is heavy compared to the other areas.

Really? Well, to all Kajang/Sg. Chua U Mobile user .. pls share me the bandwidth tongue.gif

It is Monday already....

It seems that 128kbps is a throttling standard for all Malaysian ISP as it only allows the user to surf (maintaining the "unlimited" term) and reduce the downloading process to the minimum.

Seems like a smart move, but users always can have smarter move to overcome this kind of problem. brows.gif

you mean move to yes 4g? drool.gif
