I wonder if they can take actions that can completely solve the issue.

Did U mobile publicly or let the users know in anyway that they are starting to throttle the Internet's speed from 384kbps speed to 128kbps?

QUOTE(mochachoke @ Nov 23 2010, 07:22 PM)
That would be rubbish....coz none of them take action, this organization just like no function.... sad.gif

They did something for streamyx issue at least.

AT LEAST there's someone there to report to rather than ranting out in thin air thinking of what to do

This one will get limited or not?
As far as I'm concerned, UBB is good but just that the upload speed is poor. If they can somehow improve this, I'm sure UBB would be a real contender to other wireless broadband out there.

if you follow tat thread, users there DL more than 30GB/mth, i myself DL more than 6GB a day if i got nothing to do......speed is fast too, sometimes touches 4Mbps on some sites and my MDMA assigned profile is DL 7.2Mbps for download

abt the availability of this package, u hav to consult maxis as this package was discontinued but a new user reported he managed to signed up recently

Call 1318 to confirm whether been throttle on excess usage. Also you can report the unstable speed. Take care.

mine still ok considering did not yet pass 10gb..when downloading still can go around 300KBPS++..streaming video content from youtube and other streaming site lingers around 1-2mbps...been using this for 2 years already...torrent also work well can get more than 1mbps if someone seeding you with high speed.

ps: download less does not mean i support pirates...lol...

It depend on your area.

I suggest you to get a U mobile sim pack, then try to online using your mobile phone if you are familiar with this method.

Yes it maximum speed will be 384kbps.

Anyway, one day I need to download 2 episode of TVB drama. Average is one file is 300MB, then 2 will be 600MB + light surfing. Then 5 days is ngam ngam 3GB ++.

the reason behind the throttle speed of 128kbps

could it be tat once you exceed the 5GB, you line will be "ported" to roam on DiGi network as DiGi and UM hav signed an agreement to utilise each other's bandwidth recently........as 128kbps is DiGi's nationwide Edge speed
