carra is good for another 3-5 seasons then he's done.

kyria is going out...

wayne bridge would be good, coz he's english and he's a decent player,
i would think scott parker would be good.

signing hyypia as a defensive coach/player would be ideal.. but as a full time player. not so.

Added on July 22, 2010, 8:45 pmthe player i miss most:

Alonso and Garcia...

im hoping Mascherano goes, i dont like his lack of passion and he's constant bad temper. Riera has never really impressed me.... most liverpool players face the problem of consistency.
*
Yeah man, we definitely miss Alonso. As for Masch, I don't mind him leaving. He doesn't have the heart to stay at Liverpool anymore. Keeping an unhappy player will only disrupt the team chemistry for the upcoming season. Riera can also leave, he didn't impress me at all last season when he had the chance. If Bridge and Parker really do come to Anfield it'd be great. Bridge is consistent as a defender and Parker plays with a lot of determination. Signing both would help with the homegrown quota ruling. Would love to see Hyypia back as a coach too. biggrin.gif

What so nice about Hunterlaar when he failed to shine in two of the three big league? Not so impressive in Serie A and La Liga, no?
*
i have always argued with people about this.Huntelaar lacklustre performance in real madrid is not because of his lack of skills/technique,but the la liga philosophy of football, which stresses individualism(selfishness)

huntelaar performs great with great supporting teammates who pass him the ball near penalty boxinstead of giving the ball at 40 yds+ and work his butt to the penalty box.that is not his style.he's real good at set piece and second ball situation, where he'd comes out of nowhere and score.

QUOTE(Ichighost @ Jul 23 2010, 01:40 AM)
Hunterlaar is a penalty box player...so if you can deliver the ball to him in the box...then you will get goal...he is another Ruud...
*
Count Ruud,Huntelaar and Torres are similar actually.a full time poacher.and Ruud Van Nistelrooy is the best poacher there is.

Huntelaar is a great footballer.I really hope we(as in Manchester United) get him though.but as long as he is playing in BPL i'm happy.now to get Kaka and Van Der Vaart to BPL and stop Fabregas from from going the other way......

all these signings Cole, boy Danny or even Huntelaar...

they are only meaningful if Torres stays....

i still like Torres...he is recovering from injury, hungry for games...HE has proven himself in the English game...he is a passionate kid when it comes to Liverpool....it will be madness to cash in on him...pure madness...

Who says Mascherano plays with no passion??? shocking.gif vmad.gif
He has constantly talked about leaving, but has always been professional enough to do what he has been told to do in the middle of the park!

i feel macsh does what he does coz he loves what he does. haha like gattuso, u dont say anything also they will be effective on a pitch. natural will to win the ball back no matter where on teh pitch. He can leave if he wants to leave but if he wants to stay that would be great news. though i would stil want alonso back. Partly i put the cause of our shitty play last season on alonsos exit leaving a giant gap in midfield that lucas could not cover.

Liverpool travel to Macedonia for Europa League clash
23.07.10 | Ian Ferris
READ MORE NEWS ON: Liverpool

Roy Hodgson will begin his competitive career as Liverpool boss in Macedonia next week after his team's Europa League opponents were revealed, reports the Liverpool Echo.

The Reds will take on FK Rabotnicki in their third qualifying first leg tie next Thursday after the Macedonians, 1-0 up from their first leg against Mika, earned a goalless draw in the return match in Armenia.

Liverpool had originally been scheduled to host the first leg of the tie at Anfield.

But with FK Teteks, another team from the Macedonia capital of Skopje, also progressing, UEFA have taken the decision to switch the venues.

It means Liverpool will play Rabotnicki in Macedonia on Thursday, July 29 with the return game at Anfield on Thursday, August 5.

yeah.. count me in if there's a decent enough shirt.

btw, all this talk about remy (which i have no clue how good he is) makes me wonder why the gaffer didn't want to give our own promising young-ins any chance? pacheco and especially nemeth. they will eventually move on to other clubs if no sign of hope of playing 1st team football which is a waste of talent.

I'd love to see Sami back as player-coach (http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/liverpool-boss-makes-shock-move-for-former-kop-her)

He may not have much left in his legs but he epitomises what the term, "Liverpool type player" means. His contribution to younger defenders will be immense and his enthusiasm and passion for the club will be infectious.

Carra having another 3-5 seasons at the top? I doubt it. From what I've read he is already feeling the strain of playing so many games. Age is catching up with him and he's already contemplating life after playing as we speak. From what I can tell, he's got 2 seasons left, tops.

Huntelaar for Babel? Exciting news indeed. He doesn't have to be prolific but his signing will encourage Torres to stay I reckon. His presence will take a lot of heat of the Spaniard.

Well its either Bridge or Ziegler. Both have diff style of play. Bridge is more to the calm n he can provide crosses. Whereas Ziegler is more of an attacking n shooting type. Just like the ol' Riise. smile.gif Either one would do good.

The reason Nemeth don't play much is mostly due to the fact he doen't give out confidence he cant handle those big & burly top flight defenders, hence the numerous loans he went.
Don't be fool into thinking reserves level are the same as top flight as shown by Mellor, who scored like nobody business in reserves but cant held his own even in championship football now.

Ziegler for me as he doesnt cost as much as Bridge will & a lot younger. 8 mil GBP for me is a bad idea for a 30 year old with fitness problems not to mention big salary. Can we afford to take in another players with suspected fitness after Cole?

As for Carra, think he'll gradually ousted after this season. He had a torrid season last year. U can see so much forwards running past him like he ain't there.

1stly, i tot hyypia would like to have more games and dats the reason he rejected benitez's offer as a coach player. 2nd, i think masherano is a great player. not to mention of his pacey and his determination to win all balls, tackles. 1 of the highest workrate among liv players. 3rd, i love to see bridge here. jovanovic + bridge would be a great combinaton for the left flank.
