me thinks if mascherano still not answering those calls..he's a blardy basterd then..lucas is definately gonna step up this season & we could well see gerrard sticking back to midfield role..i just hope RH can somehow get ever banega & remy (the new henry) in..darfur is not on his radar me thinks..best choice for left back ? the tried & trusted agger can do job there too..

cole to me is just exactly like luis garcia & similer like messi (perhaps he's our messiah) very classy on the ball & can score frm many angles..kewell & keane when they signed for us was slightly over their peak so lets not jinx the number 7 peeps !
btw i do believe he's a great signing for liverpool with riera leaving as well..its an end of the era for Rafa's boys, except for skertl, torres, reina, aquilani, agger & johnson..masch might be staying for another season as barca alrdy has busquets & they're not looking to strengthen in that area..unless inter can sign him..

Cole is Liverpool's new No 7
New Liverpool signing Joe Cole has been handed the club's legendary No 7 shirt made famous by Kop king Kenny Dalglish.

Cole has reportedly agreed an £80,000-a-week deal with the Merseyside club, rejecting similar wage offers from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur, and is now expected to play in his preferred central position at Liverpool this season.

Cole will form an attacking trio with club captain Steven Gerrard and Fernando Torres.

Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has pulled no punches in giving the former Chelsea midfielder the responsibility he so craved - and now its Cole's turn to deliver.

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp believes Cole's qualities will make him a legend at Anfield in the same way it made Dalgish, but the England international will be keen to make more of his Liverpool career than the last high profile signing who wore the No 7 shirt Robbie Keane.

Cole has flown out to join Hodgson's squad at their pre-season camp near Zurich to undergo a medical.
