It really deosn't matter what number he wears..as long as he's fit for the most part of the season and plays consistently well I don't mind cuz it's been something l'pool have been lacking..injury-free + in-form players
BTW, what about the LB position since Insua and Aurelio left?

QUOTE(RyanHo @ Jul 20 2010, 02:18 AM) Well, I hope it's not him cuz he's not a natural LB. Rumour has it that RH is looking for Maynor Figeruoa and Paul Konchesky. OMG, I can't believe L'pool are opting for these kind of players.

QUOTE(Burningsunz @ Jul 21 2010, 05:03 PM) we should offload masherano since he got no desire to play for liverpool anymore..now the most important is that RH have to sell him at a high price.. I can't disagree with this since the club's financial state is a bit of a mess right now. But then again, Lucas can't tackle like him..lol

Don't expect too much from the first 2 or 3 matches. The team is focusing on gaining match fitness for the first few matches and now with a new manager, they have to adapt to a new playing style. I'm sure they'll get better in the forthcoming matches.

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Jul 22 2010, 08:45 PM) carra is good for another 3-5 seasons then he's done. kyria is going out... wayne bridge would be good, coz he's english and he's a decent player, i would think scott parker would be good. signing hyypia as a defensive coach/player would be ideal.. but as a full time player. not so. Added on July 22, 2010, 8:45 pmthe player i miss most: Alonso and Garcia... im hoping Mascherano goes, i dont like his lack of passion and he's constant bad temper. Riera has never really impressed me.... most liverpool players face the problem of consistency. Yeah man, we definitely miss Alonso. As for Masch, I don't mind him leaving. He doesn't have the heart to stay at Liverpool anymore. Keeping an unhappy player will only disrupt the team chemistry for the upcoming season. Riera can also leave, he didn't impress me at all last season when he had the chance. If Bridge and Parker really do come to Anfield it'd be great. Bridge is consistent as a defender and Parker plays with a lot of determination. Signing both would help with the homegrown quota ruling. Would love to see Hyypia back as a coach too.

I didnt watch this game but from what I've read so far it seems that l'pool played badly. Really that bad meh? 2nd match and still no win albeit with a lot of youngsters. I really hope they'll play much better in their europa league qualifying game this coming thursday. And hopefully see more senior players in the starting lineup too..like aquilani...haven't the world cup players get enough rest yet??

He should stay and be given chances to impress under RH. It seems he has a lot of potential. Wouldn't mind letting him get some minutes in the 2nd leg of the Europa qualifying. And he should play in the Carling Cup. Who knows? If L'pool go far in the competition, he has the chance to establish himself in the squad.

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Aug 2 2010, 12:53 PM) i prefer the third kit over the others... the away one is awfully ugly... anyway, if people are offering huge amount for torres, just sell him. and get someone else. simple. Do you realise the Liverpool logo kinda looks like it's been ironed onto the jersey compared to previous seasons where the liverpool badge was stitched onto it? Kinda a turn off for me to buy..lol

QUOTE(weichieh007 @ Aug 3 2010, 11:53 PM) I'm starting to have doubts on reports by soccernet. They reported Torres future hinges on the the Liverpool FC takeover when the lfc official website and BBC sports already displayed statements by Torres intention to stay at Liverpool. An hour later, they quickly delete the initial article, and put up the actual facts, Torres indeed is going to stay. This Harry Harris guy from soccernet claims to have 'insider' which also started the 'rumours' of Gerrard leaving for Real Madrid. Bunch of media liars.. Anyway, on the bright side, pure media speculation and liars will not drive our star duo away, as their heart will always belong at Liverpool Football Club. When you go soccernet, please don't bother reading Harry Harris' articles. 99% of the time, reports by him are a bunch of BS. I wonder why does soccernet even let him do such nonsense articles 'cause it just makes them lose their credibility as a football news website.

Cole looked really good in this game. And his connection with Stevie G will only get better when the season goes along. Kelly looked solid and Pacheco looks to have a bright future at Liverpool. Jovanovic was more than decent too. Hopefully, they can continue playing this good when tougher opposition comes along. Bring on the Gunners!!!

QUOTE(melt @ Aug 6 2010, 02:34 PM) 5 draws wont do any good either.... Lol. I don't think they'll draw all 5 la..we got WBA at home and Birmingham away..i'd say we can win both if all first team players are fit to play..draw against man city, man utd away and arsenal at home i dont mind but i'd love to see we start off with a win at home.. so a 9 or 11 point-haul out of a possible max of 15 is pretty good i'd say with a tough start like we have..

QUOTE(ADVedder @ Aug 6 2010, 09:15 PM) another not so well known team.. Not a well known team but they are the 4th most successful club in turkey in terms of being turkish league champs. Finished 5th in their league last season. Definitely much tougher opposition compared to rabotnicki. But by then the full squad should be able to play already. So I have very little doubts about L'pool going through.
