if masch want to go, let him go. no player bigger than club.

huntelaar might be a good grab as a back up. i think our back up striker might play more than 15 matches this season. torres too fragile. huntelaar is one of good striker in penalty box of what we really need now.

bridge might be useful for this season only. we can get better once club is sold to new buyer

i think both of huntelaar and bridge is good but we have to get them both in good price.

boy, im happy to see benitez gone for good, me always criticize the way he puts the team and how he's handle the young players...with limited money in the bag RH definitely looking at the young players at the academy n would give them chance to prove their worth,,to be honest i care less who's we going to sign but more eager to see whose gonna be surprise performer's for coming weeks,,

i thought he's the one who bought most of the younguns and revitalize the academy? all the young talent who failed to impress were sold at profits. if RH have a nice budget to buy players i bet he will ignore the youngs too. also cant recalled whether he gave young players a lot of chances when he at fulham.

i still think Rafa did a good job in LFC. he did improve LFC academy, bring back King Kenny to LFC and all good stuff. yes he was not give fair chance to young lad though. we did win FA youth cup recent years too.

No doubt Rafa is a good tactician. But he is the worst man-manager ever and you can see it's affecting the backroom. I love the guy but he gots to go.

Added on July 23, 2010, 6:19 pmJavier Mascherano will demand a move from Liverpool to link up with Rafa Benitez at Inter Milan

Javier Mascherano is ready to ask for a transfer to push through his proposed move from Liverpool to Inter Milan.

Representatives of the Argentina captain were reported to be in Milan yesterday holding informal talks over his planned transfer and expect to formulate an offer from Inter over the next week.

Inter manager Rafael Benitez agreed as part of his settlement when he left Liverpool that he would not return to sign any of their players for the next three months.

However, Liverpool are well aware that Inter are the only real contenders for Mascherano's signature.

He intends to leave and they recognise it may be in their best interests to strike a deal and sell the 26-year-old before the saga overshadows Roy Hodgson's preparations for the new season.

Inter are unwilling to offer Liverpool's valuation of £30m instead they intend to deal closer to £20m - but could offer players in return such as former Portsmouth midfielder Sulley Muntari.

Mascherano, who has so far failed to return Hodgson's calls, is due to return to the Liverpool fold on Monday but has made it clear to friends that he wants to go.

Cash-strapped Liverpool could then use the funds to bring in necessary re-inforcements with left-back and striker among their priorities.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are showing interest in Liverpool's Ryan Babel although no formal contact has been made. Birmingham are also interested but Babel is not keen on a move to the midlands.

Afterall the support and all the songs named after him...Remember the best midfielder in the world song? Im sure many of us would..it truly saddens to me to see Mascherano to treat the club in the manner that he is treating right now, yes RB brought him no doubt, it overall its club that gave him the platform for him to shine and how quickly we warmed up to him.

Yes, LFC doenst own Mascherano yes he put in his fair share of hardwork on the pitch last season, but what about showing some respect to the club to picked him up from the scraps that he was in, put his head back right in place and made him the midfielder that he's supposed to be today and knowing truly well the situation the club is in, rather than going quietly about the transfer, he's starting to make a hash of things,. He doensnt even have to force a move in the manner he is doing by not returning calls, all he needs to do is just call up the gaffer and say he wants to be traded. for me he just turned into a mercenary eventhough that is to join Inter with RB..

not this way Mascherano not this way...its either you'll get sold or you'll rot at the sub's bench for good till someone comes and picks you up.. You just lost my respect and many more whom have come to support you as a player for LFC.

i still remember when mash was in west ham..he is nothing there..he did not play very good..but when RB bought him, all liverpool supported him and giv him moral support in the pitch..but now he is turning his back against the supporter who once support him..
