Reina knows all bout his Spanish players, and he's a leader, with a great sense of humour.

Since we have financial problems, we can do it like Arsenal. Scout for promising youth, and groom them to be superstars. We already have good enough world class (or at least international class
I still dont support the selling of Insua, he's still so young and have lots of potential...later we'll regret it... Get better position in the league, win some cups along the way...and we'll be up there soon. |

I hope Aqua can do better than last season, since previously he wasn't 100% all season long. And RH plz give him more chance, he and Gerrard will be the creative force next season since Benny has left us.

Actually our squad looks promising now, if Aqua, Gerrard, Cole and Torres can stay injury free (or at least minimal injuries). They can play in a high tempo and can cause problems.
Don't forget about WC hero Kuyt and Babel too. Babel has a lot to prove to Hodgson... |

Liverpool travel to Macedonia for Europa League clash
23.07.10 | Ian Ferris READ MORE NEWS ON: Liverpool Roy Hodgson will begin his competitive career as Liverpool boss in Macedonia next week after his team's Europa League opponents were revealed, reports the Liverpool Echo. The Reds will take on FK Rabotnicki in their third qualifying first leg tie next Thursday after the Macedonians, 1-0 up from their first leg against Mika, earned a goalless draw in the return match in Armenia. Liverpool had originally been scheduled to host the first leg of the tie at Anfield. But with FK Teteks, another team from the Macedonia capital of Skopje, also progressing, UEFA have taken the decision to switch the venues. It means Liverpool will play Rabotnicki in Macedonia on Thursday, July 29 with the return game at Anfield on Thursday, August 5. SOS LOL at the bolded club name |

Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Blackburn all lost their season friendlies as well, with their reserve/youth players...so there's nothing scary about us losing as well.

I'd be happy to snap Onuoha or Zabaleta as cover for RB in case Johnson is injured.
As much as I hate De Jong for kung fu-ing Alonso, I'd hope we can get him for cheap as cover for Masch in case he leaves. And at least he did admit to the press that he was sorry for the kungfu kick and admit he should get a red card, and was lucky to just get a yellow. |

Results wise we may achieve top four if we sold Torres and use his cash to buy a lethal striker/s (Huntelaar? Remy? Forlan?) and a good full back to support the players upfront (Ziegler? Figueroa?), and another dangerous winger (Arda Turan?) or at least anoher creative player who can give us some cutting edge up front (Van der vaart?)
It's not the end of Liverpool if he goes, but it's just so exciting to watch him play and I hope he stays for life. For me, LFC is not 100% about results, its the excitement and passion when watching players like Torres play brilliantly. |

Seems like Mascherano already set his heart to leave Anfield before the 09/10 season because of family problems...but Rafa convinced him to stay 1 more season. He's sure to be gone now...I guess he chose his family over club now.
Wish him all the best in whatever club he plays in. And thanks for the big transfer fee you'll give us, it will be a great help. |

QUOTE(Burningsunz @ Jul 28 2010, 11:05 AM) i dont mind Insua staying in Liverpool. Bro chill...all those are rumours la. Like those crappy VDV and fake Facebook Drenthe rumours. Its abit stupid trying to offload Maxi at this point..and pacheco to real sociedad?? what is RH thinking?? is he on the same ship with those bloody yanks?? Need to get source from liverpool official website or trusted ones like Liverpool Echo or something. BTW, the poster didn't mention that the rumour says that Real Sociedad is interested in loaning Pacheco, but they are not sure themselves wheter they can even loan him... thats all. See here. See? How simple words can twist facts...next time read/write/research properly before getting all heated up. Maxi one is not official, we need to get more info from more sources. Luke Young maybe a decent buy with his price and filling the English quota, but I still prefer the younger and energetic Figueroa. This post has been edited by kazuki85: Jul 28 2010, 11:18 AM |

QUOTE(Burningsunz @ Jul 28 2010, 12:42 PM) i guess the way RB trying to build our youth team pays off..hopefully RB wont offload our youth player.. RB? RB no longer with us la, how to offload our youths...its RH now RB did a good job by hiring a youth coach from Barcelona last season, and King Kenny as our ambassador to scout for youth talent though....it may take a season or two for our youth to compare with the other big 4 team's youths. |

Yea I know Man C youths aren't that all great now, but since they have all the $$$ they need and overbuying their senior players, I'm sure they can just offer and buy all the promising youth from other clubs anytime they want (like chelsea did before)
Dani Pacheco is amazing when playing for the Spain U-19's, he's like the David Villa of the U-19s. I hope he brings his form to the EPL and we have one more attacking threat in our front line. This post has been edited by kazuki85: Jul 28 2010, 01:51 PM |

I hope he quickly gets Figueroa instead of Luke Young. Heck, I prefer we get both in case we're unlucky with injuries to the LB department.

I hope he won't get too many knocks that effect him next season...ouch
He should go to the gym more often and build up his toughness and all. EPL is very physical and I hope he does something about himself...even Torres did complained that its a very tough league where he was kicked all season round... |

Masch : I want to leave England, not Liverpool
SOS Masch finally speaks up...he feels England isn't the right place for him and his wife. I understand that he's a good family man...I would have done it too since I put my family first over work. Good Luck in the future Masch. |

I personally think Poulsen can be good in Liverpool...i believe tough and rough tackling DM's like him are very much suited in the BPL.

I hope Hleb doesn't need to come as we have enough players that can play in the midfield/winger department already!
Aquilani, Joe Cole, Gerrard, Maxi Rodriguez, Kuyt, Lucas, Poulsen, Jovanovic, Babel...not to mention reserve players like Pacheco, Shelvey, El zhar. The most we could have done is to get another fullback or striker...so in a way i rather have Mascherano follow Rafa to Inter with $$$. This post has been edited by kazuki85: Aug 13 2010, 01:58 PM |

QUOTE(digilife @ Aug 13 2010, 05:56 PM) Is it intentional?? Its impossible all 3 of those will come to our side though. Their club need them a lot... I just hope Pacheco, Babel and N'gog can step up next season and show the manager we don't need anymore strikers. |
