QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ Oct 15 2010, 02:12 PM) LOL nVidia *greed* card... overprice card that sux your money along with your blood... Btw, are those new nVidia drivers still able to tweak to work as PhysX with AMD card? lol typo error ... QUOTE(8tvt @ Oct 15 2010, 02:09 PM) donno why even it's looks smart.. but still not prefer the ref cooler.. maybe coz of the temp report shows abit higher.. looking forward the special version.. don't want free turbo sound.. performance yes.. yes since vista not allows multiple gpus.. so in windows 7 possible to tweak.. ic..then does anyone here hv try it?

IMHO, I think reference cooler is much more efficient, since it pull in cool air and push it out at back, and not circling inside the chassis. Anyway that's just my thought, I had a friend that has a HD5870 with reference cooler, which he told the exhaust air is boiling hot , probably best to blow it out instead of circling inside the chassis.

Added on October 15, 2010, 5:04 pmand again.. with ref coolers could be the gpu air came from hot HDD drive! This post has been edited by 8tvt: Oct 15 2010, 05:04 PM

I thought of upgrading the GC, cause I'm not sure whether it fit's HD3xxx series nor HD4xxx series. can someone enlighten me on both of HD3xxx and 4xxx series? I read somewhere that both of those series are almost the same? and any card fits to any mobo right?

With what you currently have, you might consider investing in a new system. it all depends on your needs and more importantly your budget. else, doing ur gc upgrade may not justify you spending the money if results were to be negligable.

I thought about it, but I think upgrading the current one will be the best. Cause I still have a 550w PSU lying around, so I just do some heavy OCing and voila! should I go for HD4xxx instead? QUOTE(huzzLEE_82 @ Oct 15 2010, 11:59 AM) i think it is...coz me game Warhead can reach 86c.. but not 2 4get casing ventilation... my cosmos demn hot... I see. 75 degree Celsius is the highest temp I saw while playing intensive GPU game. Guess it's okay then. BTW I'm using HAF932 casing and the card is Asus 5870 v2. I'm just so overwhemeled with the sheer performance from this card. It's been quite a looong years since I invest in PC graphic card. My transition is from nVidia TNT 2 32MB -> This card. It's a light year generation ahha. So far the only game that my 5870 can't perform well is when running Metro 2033 with Direct X 11, Quality: Very High and 16x. When set to DX10 everything run smooth as ice. Other games is like eating breakfast for the 5870. I wonder what will happen if I crossfire the upcoming 6970 with this card. hmm.
