they prices are sure cheap, however, assuming that the LEDs are really what they claimed to be. Most are shipped from China, so you can never be sure of the quality as in Ebay, the company names are not stated. Not like in Alibaba, where the company selling the products are known. You can check this link for some info - http://www.alibaba.com/trade/search?Search...roduct_en&fsb=y

Normally, a rule of thumb if down light with 4" diameter is 4', while 6' is around 6'-8'. But it also depends on the wattage you use for the downlight. So, it is assume, if you use 4" you might use 11W-13W while 6" you will use 15W-18W.

In Alibaba, last ime (about 2 years ago) I ask for small quantity, they have minimal order. Well not much, if you can fit in 20' footer they will do the order. If not, they suggest you hold until someone make the order into Malaysia and share the shipment.

The Alibaba look like wholesale for me. So I thaught they don't serve you if you want in small qty.

Anyway the CREE model only avaiable in US and not others country. The famous CR6 downlight is only have 120v. Now thinking how to modify it.

hi all, im a noob in this electrical thingy.

my round type light(circle light) not working. i already change the bulb but still not working.

now the only remains is the electonic ballast.

do i hav to change it, and if i need to buy a new one, do i have to follow the exact spefication or i can choose 40w 20w up to me?

fyi the bulb is 32 watt. and it is really hard for me to find electronic ballast 32 watt.

and another problem is i dunno which one is electronic ballast and which one is the normal one. i went to ace hardware, the ballast that they sell is different in shape (boxy instead of round type as per my light's ballast) sorry for my english.

please help!!

Those cree in alibaba is using the cree LED component. Not the whole downlight. They buy the LED component and design the housing and driver themself.

Cree did manufacturing downlight itself. but don't think sale in alibaba. Their famous reliable CR6 downlight model is popular in western country.

Hi guys, I have a 24 feet X 15 feet living hall, total size is 360 sq ft.
I wanted to build a L Box surrounding the living hall which will form a shape of rectangle, the wiring man suggested to install total 16 downlights at the L Box area. My questions are:
1) Is 16 downlights too many for a 360sq ft living hall?
2) If the number of downlights is 16, should I use 4" or 6" downlights?
3) What wattage should I use for the bulb if there's 16 downlights? go for lower watt?

Please look at these pictures to get an rough idea of my wiring layout.

It also depend on how height is your ceiling. 16 down lights will be just nice for the distance 4ft. I would say 4" with 14/18watt will be enough but if you prefer brighter then should go for 6" smile.gif

Anyway it also depend what type of down light you are using, with glass/frosted glass, LED, LED panel .....
