Has any of you tried internet TV or internet radio, esp the HD audio by using this 4MB streamyx?

just would like to ask, after the installer guy came to my house. immediately u will get 4Mb after that?
cuz the guy came when i was not around, he told me wife that it will take another 48h max to get 4Mb. is that true?

within 24h, after he come install, usually they will cap u to 4mbps he day before then installer come, he will just check the line ok or not !

Also.. after checking the line for me, he requested use of my broadband to authenticate the inspection and "activate" the new cap which took exactly 24 hours after he did it to work...

My 4MB was also activated within 24h after the installer came.

In my case the installer came then on the spot he request TM to increase my cap. Then he did a speed test (using some kinda test account), check SNR. Confirm all ok then he left. He did say for my own streamyx account it will be activated within 24h.

hey all we've just recently upgraded to the 4mbps package...but why is it only running at 1.8mpbs according to speedtest.net? i would understand if it was sumthing like 3.5mbps but this is like less than half any ideas? location in ampang...

Check your modem line stats, and post them here if you can.

You could still be mistakenly capped at 2 Mbps..

If so, contact 100, request them to escalate to to ATS, ask them to cap you at 4Mbps (after confirming your modem stats with them) , if you're lucky and get a rep who knows his stuff, they will get the Network Dept. to do it for you.

I got that 2 Meg cap once before they rectified the issue, had a very sympathetic ATS rep contact the Network Dept, with me holding on the line and changed it on the spot.. Lucky me...

I have been trying to get back premium ip is still unsuccessful. The report had been lodge over a week already.

Repeated calls to them is hard get through to level 2, when the few times it does the reasons is either they are waiting for Network Department updates or they told me they will call me back following day which they didn't.

Today tried call them twice both times can't get through to level 2. Seems according to last call I made, level 1's supervisor claims level 2 is very busy handling some problem & is unable to handle any cases!

Luckily somebody from level 2 called me back couple mins later and promise to request Network Department to do something about it.


When I was in the premium ip ranges I was able to get:

Now I am only getting:

now i'm on 175.145. , give me a good ping to hong kong

Either your account is capped wrongly or your copper line is in bad shape. When the technician came over, did he show you the speed that you were able to get with your 4mbps connection?

Thanks for all the reply, checked this morning, still at 1.5Mb(1Mb package).
Maybe if tonight its still not 4Mb i shall dail 100

Guys after reading quite many posts here, i'm a little confused as to how a person who is subsribed to the 4mbps streamyx can ask the TM to cap them at 5 or 6mbps? how is that possible. i tried calling them today they say NO because my package is 4mbps ,therefore i can't cap it at 5mbps ,only get 4096. so guys pls tell me how u guys do it

btw one more thing guys, this is my ip 115.132.x.x , is this a good ip,premium ip or normal ip?

there will only capp u at 5mbps incase ur 4mbps line have problem of achieve minimum 3.5/6mbps speed.

Like my account although capped at 6mbps but my max speed still at 4mbps only will nvr more than that.

Plus if there put higher cap without testing chance ur line will get worst due to no enough snr/attenuation

BTW 175 ip is having good time to HK/china recently hope there maintain it

than u have to check it is random or certain time.
That been few case among us where that was technical issue which some of us suffer of speed drop during certain time.
Like me i been cap at 1mbps every 6pm-3am and it take 1 month for TM to fix the issue O.o
If it is random i bet is either one of ur computer is DL something, (last time when i was 1mbps package my speed drop from 8xxkbps to 600kbps due to trojan and adware)
after i clean it my speed back to 8xxkbps ><

BTW 3.5/3.6mbps is normal

no la there cap me due to last time when the certain time speed drop issue there though that can fix it with that method but it won't work than there nvr revert it back so now is was 6mbps at modem lo.... But speedtest nvr more than 4mbps

ok i think i leave it as it is. anyways my ip is 115.132.x.x and my default gateway is 219.93.x.x ,what range does this falls under,premium ip or normal ip?

"Downstream Speed 2047kbps" that's definitely capped right?
