been complaining bout my 175 ip too. I was on 218 all the while previously. All they told me was my ip is a dynamic IP and it will be randomly generated =.= BULLSHIT no.1

sweat.gif it is

we all are using dynamic ip only different, your dynamic ip ppol is 218ip.. that why u get 218ip but the two back digit never the same every time u connect

218.111 , well I get it sometimes . But most of the time , its a dead IP as somebody pointed out

175 seems good except when it comes to asian sites , its dead slow. 218 has the best routing.
Oh well, I am happy as long as it does not disconnect and my download speeds are  consistent

yup

218ip.. often get dead one.. i prefer 175now as i connect to eu and us more

but 175ip... even load LYN sometime slow =.=

Hmmm... it seems like certain areas are "locked" into certain premium IP pools...

Today i had to reset the modem/router a few times for a few config experiments, and found that even after 5-10 resets, i'm always given the 218.111.x.x range....

Another 20 soft resets (on the modem's web interface not the power button) and i'm still getting the same IP range...

Guess my area's locked into the 218 IP then....

i don't think they are ever gonna switch mine back. they probably did something with 175.145.*.*, today web browsing to China seems a lot smoother than the last 7 days after I got switched to 175. bt or emule using xunlei with peers in China has almost no speed though (it could easily go up to 300~500+K when I was on 218).

It is quite common to be swapped between different IP ranges. I don't think anyone here is forever only on 218 or only on 175. My line also switches between 218 and 175 IP.

probably permanent, they said they're trying to reconfigure 175's routing co China. they are still working on switching me back to 218 (that's what i was told last night), i hope the reason that 175 has good routing to China now isn't that they just switched the routing thing of 218 with 175, else i would be speechless when they finally put me on 218 sweat.gif

218.111.x.x gives me dead ip ones. Its rare to get a working 218.111 ip range. most of the times , its dead. Connected but nothing. I guess 175 would do for now , honestly I dont care or less these days. LYN loads up slow but EU sites seems to be a bit faster

Anyway you should try to grab 218.111 during weekends. I have tried and its possible to grab 218.111 ip range during this tiem

According to speedtest I get 4mb on 218.xxx but only 2+mb on 175.xxx.

After a week or two of super connection on 218 (ddl and torrents) I notice some direct downloads would time out for no reason (annoyingly enough, when they are like 90-95% complete). I'm not talking huge size files, but like dozens of incomplete 10 to 50mb files from the same source. First I checked the source, it's ok, my hardware is fine and my line unchanged. So I guess something changed on the ISP's end.

I then got on back to 175 ip and my DDLs don't time out anymore. Speedtest still gives me 2+ mb but my download logs shows I'm peaking up to 4mb speed downloads which was a plus.

Just when I celebrated this, my torrents seemingly died (according to the other threads here, due to new TMnet shaping/throttle methods)

218.111 ips can suddenly die out of a sudden. For instance as vape pointed out while downloading. It just times out and then bam you can't load any pages for a while , then it goes back okay.

@Vape and @prasys

That seems to be true.... Am still on a 218 ip and is wondering why certain DDLs from RS and MU just die out for no reason and then resume after a few seconds of inactivity... although not all links are affected....

Quite odd...
