QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jul 26 2010, 11:53 AM) @N0eL, Hmm... The few people U should be looking out for would be:- 1) StringfellowLYN 2) ksc_3688 3) beavis68 But they're ALL gonna tell U it's still worth getting the iPhone 4 Well said! Both the iPad and the iPhone 4 are worth every single penny! I can swear by anyone for this. Seriously.

I think your address has to be in the US. I managed to download some free stuff, but had to change my settings to say I am from US and change to a US address, if I remember correctly

You need either a VPN service or IP anonymizer like HotspotShield to download/purchase ebooks from Kindle Store now. They've employed Geo IP restriction on purchases now. My Kindle 2 is collecting dust at the moment in wake of my iPad ownership. In short, use VPN/Hotspotshield, log into your US Amazon account, purchase it there. Once purchased, Whispersync your iPad Kindle app to sync/download your new purchases. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Jul 26 2010, 10:12 PM

So sad that they are making it harder and harder for non-US residents to buy stuff

QUOTE(ionrage @ Jul 26 2010, 10:24 PM) Don't give up hope yet. Remember, 'Malaysia Boleh' but this shortage has nothing to do with malaysia actually, its LG. unless msia comes up with their own iPad, like how they do for almost every hot selling product. exp: touchberry.

Waiting for beavis68 for my camera connection kit. Need it for my upcoming trip to Singapore and hk. Yes, I could buy it there, but don't want to risk it being sold out

Dear All,
Getting my ipad 3G wifi soon. Need to know. Am already on BIS plan with Unlimited 3G on Celcom. Can I get an additional sim card using the same number (multi sim) for use with my ipad or MIFI or whateva? I went to a Celcom store just now and they say it is not possible, need to get another number, what the heck? Or can this be done at Maxis or Digi. If so, Celcom gonna lose me..........

I don't think you can do that. People using the 3G sim card will have to sacrifice it for the iPad and never look back. I just subscribed to Maxis 3G yesterday, RM 99 per month for unlimited data, no deposit, just RM100 advanced payment.

@MattJ, U need to go check out the Multi-SIM thingy on Celcom. It's not gonna work with Maxis as far as I know. If U want to use it with a MiFi, all U need to do is purchase a MiFi and tadah, use that SIM to dial into the "Internet" via the MiFi and use whatever u need via that No need for additional subscription, IMHO.

Tink,
I was at a Celcom outlet earlier today, and they said it cannot be done, no multisim (attached to 1 number only) for fear of cloning. I just want to know, those with ipads already, are they using multisim (one line) for their ipad as well as iphone or BB (as in my case) rather than a separate unlimited 3G line, which I think is costly and not right, should be able to piggy back on our unlimited 3G line.

@MattJ, Maxis's Multi-SIM apparently means U get another SIM with the same number but U will still need to subscribe to the data (source: beavis68) If U have an existing USB broadband modem, take the SIM out from that and put it into ur iPad. If Ur trying to save $ and use the one you're using on ur iPhone, then U won't b able to receive calls
