reported for not reading the pinned threads. ... nah, just kidding...
AFAIK, the iPad warranty is (like iPhone) local only. so you will need to return the country of original purchase. |

nope, cos the USB broadband needs to connect to a USB master (like a PC / Mac) and the iPad is a USB device.
also need to install software |

well... we are playing with the bleeding edge of gadgets. I thought the point was to use these gadgets to 'finance' our addiction to more iGadgets? no?
example : I download and use iWork Beta... suffer thru the beta stuff... but when its released and the general public need trainer |

those are grey import, meaning those fella buy in USA / UK as a consumer and bring it here / Singapore and resell.
that's why there's no support / warranty and its SOOO overpriced. its worse than those guys who sell grey market cars! |

QUOTE(MattJ @ Jul 27 2010, 02:28 PM) Dear All, go to a Celcom office, or call the hotline. don't waste time at the BlueCube guys... they're merely agents.Getting my ipad 3G wifi soon. Need to know. Am already on BIS plan with Unlimited 3G on Celcom. Can I get an additional sim card using the same number (multi sim) for use with my ipad or MIFI or whateva? I went to a Celcom store just now and they say it is not possible, need to get another number, what the heck? Or can this be done at Maxis or Digi. If so, Celcom gonna lose me.......... |

• Celcom starts lower, offers better coverage and speed, but not consistent. some place fast, some place slow, some place almost no connection ...
• Digi cheap for overall connection, consistent speed, coverage not very wide. • Maxis = in between, but getting congested. since they're the most popular, expect to have connection, but no bandwidth. @CapKapak my apologies ... I did say please explain how. its just hard for me to grep that Celcom would still be using 900MHz WCDMA... the wtf section was for the multiple model statement, which you've explained, thanks @MacKiddo aiyah... we keep getting screwed with BN cronies who couldn't explain how a 3G tower works... but can get to be Communications minister This post has been edited by xaw5126: Aug 4 2010, 05:43 PM |

have you cut the Celcom SIM ? cos iPad uses a newer MicroSIM size.
here's a comparison of the two, on AT & T. |
