QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Jul 16 2010, 06:13 PM) Hmm how to describe... You can see that the white color is really white.... while LCD does not appear as white, instead it appears white mix with other color. I can't really tell the rest of the color as I'm only viewing the video and not personally tested myself. But white color seems pretty significant even you watch through video. The panel thickness is even smaller, and after compare it is it around 3 times thinner than the LCD. Power consumption wise is better on the LED side. So I can say lots of benefit you can get if you compare LCD with LED. And most of all, the price of LED is just a difference of $50~$75, ( I think ). So only adding few bucks you can get even nicer performance and less power consume LED. For more information or you want to see the difference yourself, you can watch this video in youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQHcpF7wY8cCheers It's a preference.... I kind of dislike the white of white LEDs.... If it's between same TN panels, by all means choose LED lit. lf its between TN and IPS (and price being equal)... I would chose IPS regardless of back-light.

Inferior compression coding or decoding.... being a screen capture... it has nothing to do with your monitor....

Any comment & opinions? Which one should i get? since you're using it for designing, you'll need it to be true to the printed colour, right?if so then you'll need an ips panel lcd... the samsungs you listed are just glorified normal tn panel lcd... there's the aoc if23 ips panel lcd going for rm709 in garage sales section, however there seems to be no reputable sites that have reviewed it yet
