Demo pics/video.... Of cource fake... how do you tell the screen to run half at 100Hz and the other half at 60Hz at the same time.

What I meant by fake and not true (100Hz/200Hz) is that the input the TV receives is still 60Hz... the processors/software artificially generate the 100Hz/200Hz to be output on the screen.

I will get this unit no matter what.

I have received my U2311H.

However I'm not sure how to check if it is indeed an IPS panel as the image is only clear when viewed directly.

When I stand up or move to the side the colour turns darker.

my U2211H has been delivered too!!

I received my U2311H, there are slight backlight bleed at the top left corner. Kinda disappointed because when I purchase my 2209WA last year, it was almost perfect - no backlight bleed, quality control was top notch.

It's all about saving the cost.

Anyway, how are the viewing angles on your U2311H?

Damn ... i also bit the bullet and ordered my Dell U2211H ..hope it is worth it.

Nothing to complain about the viewing angle. Looks the same compared to 2209WA. But definitely nowhere near my Apple Cinema Display.

that sounds terrible~ my ST2210's backlight bleed is not that noticeable and even none existent for normal usage~ for the U2311H to be worse than the 2209WA, which is an old version of the ST2210, I guess this is where the U series is lacking~

2209WA is the old version of ST2210 ???
One is TN and the other is IPS panel. That's in different category

i think the viewing angle of my U2211H is good. cant do the response time test coz no superb camera at the moment...

How about backlight bleeding ?

2209WA is in its own league (Ultrasharp series) and currently in revision A02, ST2210 is never its successor. For new U23/U22, the quality of Ultrasharp LCD may have dropped to translate a better pricing, but with the same premium panel warranty and great stand with better viewing angle, I would say it is still a great deal in consumer market.

Thanks. For DELL 2209WA, one quirk that bothers me though. The brightness adjustment is meaningless. It is overly bright out of the box especially at night, tune down brightness does not help dimming it. Now using with lower contrast setting for a more pleasant view. Other than that, it is simply superb.

Don't have much an issue.
For sure, 50 on brightness is simple too bright.

I set 5 on brightness, 70 on contrast.
Seem fine for me.

U2311h users, have you tried check if theres tint problem yet using white/gray backgrounds

can someone tell what's wrong here? the screen seems to change color unevenly... btw, i'm using vga connection via acer aspire 4530...
