U2410 and PX2370.
Both also very nice. U2410 expensive PX2370 very yeng and elegant , but lack of IPS. and Malaysia is not available.
If i can get U2410 for RM 1200 ill go for U2410. If PX2370 is available in malaysia i will consider.
Im a gamer. mostly view for movies and FPS game.
Guys what u think?
Budget RM1k

To be honest, I'd take an IPS over a TN monitor over any day, here are my reasons:
1. Our internet is too slow to be too concerned for fragging rights unless of course, you got UniFi (and therefore you are exempted from this argument)
2. From out of 10 times that you were fragged, you cannot blame the input lag and the speed for your lack of skills in the game whatsoever, if those are really important to you, get a nice Sony Trinitron flat CRT or something. Best for gaming, nearly-zero input lag and fastest panel.
3. Picture quality - IPS wins for both pictures and most multimedia applications.
4. Picture quality 2 - IPS panels are generally higher resolution than their TN counterparts (not sure how true is it now), eg 8-bit U2311H panels vs 6-bit TN panels? or the 10-bit U2410 panel vs similar 24" 8-bit TN panels.
5. IPS has better greys and blacks for CCFL technology if compared to TN panels using CCFL backlit as well, so unless future IPS monitors are backlit, they might be losing out to the current TN market but the overall picture quality makes up for it..
PS: Point 5 aside, why are not manufacturers moving towards LED backlit for most IPS panels? Only one I've seen are the Apple monitors and yuck, they are glossy.

I'm not a serious gamer, but do share with us your gaming experience with U2211H Just out of my curiosity, hope you don't mind U2211H cost RM721 for 5 year premium panel warranty, U2311H only cost RM711 for the same. Is there any specific reason you choose U2211H? The viewable size is 21.5" vs. 23" This post has been edited by Jern Tan: May 24 2010, 01:16 AM

QUOTE(Top-Gun @ May 23 2010, 02:16 AM) Ok, boils down to the price now. Decided to sell both my 2007WFPs. Is it wiser to get 1x U2410 or 2x U2311H? I know that I am not a very serious gamer (input lag and slight ghosting is OKAY for me) but picture quality must be excellent for like webpage viewing, document (sharpness of text) and day-to-day activities. Have been out of the IPS scene for quite some time so I would like to hear some thoughts from you guys. Whether this eIPS panel is worth the investment or is just crap anyway. u'll most probably regret it~ the reason for gamers still using CRTs is because of the responce time~ it's all about frame rate and excellent refresh with no lag~ QUOTE(everling @ May 23 2010, 01:55 PM) The conclusion is that response times are actually far higher than what is published in the specs. And blur is not detectable in video but is in more artificial settings like scrolling web pages and gaming. agreed, definitely will bother u if it's high response time~
