QUOTE(Lester1987 @ Jun 25 2010, 02:59 PM) nothing wrong without internet, just bring some fishing rod and fish while onboard Some ships your not allowed to fish due to incidences where by the fishing line may get entangled, plus you never know what parasites, disease or toxic chemicals maybe in the fish. If your on OnG ships, then the food is good and quantity is never a problem, plus every fortnight is BBQ night. QUOTE(crapp0 @ Jun 25 2010, 02:12 PM) You can survive without internet while onboard a ship for months at a time? Ops.. just to clear some confusion, the job I posted is related to working onboard vessels, but it's just go up work and then come down. We are not following the vessel for it's sailing voyage. Except for some special cases. to add some more: I do get internet access most of the time working in the middle of the sea.. Singtel coverage is still there and I still can go online with my Broadband on Mobile to kill time while waiting.. Without it ..i would die of boredom

That depends on the company you work for and the size of your portfolio, no? I would say generally about 13-14K for a new mktg manager in a global MNC. Hi, how many years experience required to get about S$6k a month in "finance/accounting" in Singapore? Anyone knows what the general job scope/position in Singapore that'll get that salary?
The purpose of this question to me, is so that I know the requirements, and can then work towards building a set of skills and experience necessary to demand a S$6k salary

QUOTE(bloggerblue @ Jun 25 2010, 04:01 PM) what are the job can hit $10K/month by just working at MNC ? If I take the chemical global MNCs as a reference, basically any managerial job will bring you to $10K a month. Like I mentioned a couple of posts above, my company's managerial pay scale starts at $13K.
