just got reply from seller that he mainly on export only.

spoke to swiss watch gallery as listed price now is RM13k.

interesting, he seem to change his sales direction.
iirc ck77 contacted collectorstime and they are OK with selling locally.
have to do somekind of overseas forwarding to get stuff from him now.
lucky I am overseas.

MSRP is now 13K? has iwc increase their prices for 2011? if not it maybe ~14-15k next yr!

went to check out the Orient special FET0H001B today, tried it on but found it less attractive...

1- black crown top seems fragile.. easily get scratch & reveal the silver base as its stainless steel
2- color too dull compare to the picture online

for the price MYR 780 my friend commented better get a seiko..

im really stuck now...

why a Seiko better than Orient?
anyway, not used Orient. Black don't always equal to fragile. my cheap CQ is all black still OK, no scatches, no white showing
as for design, don't like go for a different watch.

or go russian. I like Aviator, Poljot, Vostok Europe, Buran

yep...black IP or PVD is quite resistant to scratches...there are some hairline scratches on my seiko IP bracelet...but no silver base revealed...
you can't get much with Seiko for rm780...probably some quartz chrono...
1 thing i find interesting about Orient is you get lots of complications at an affordable price...some comes with power reserve meter, world time, day/date...now that's great for that kind of budget...

Means the seconds hand will stop when you pull the crown out to the 2nd stop...
non-hacking means the seconds hand will still continue to move when you pull out the crown..

no waterproof, I gather u are looking something at 100m water resistance.
try the below its rated 300m and within your budget.
http://www.christopherward.co.uk/men/view-...60-tri-sks.html
http://www.steinhartwatches.de/index.php?i...=14&Sel_ID=9#14

swiss movement made in usa, WR to 200m
http://www.bernhardtwatch.com/globemaster.html

or if your budget is a little higher
http://www.archimede-uhren.de/
http://www.autran-viala.de/DE/Cartouche.htm

the selection to tissot i think are all quartz. at a top budget of 1500rm I would get a mech watch

Hi guys, this is the 1st time I wanted to buy my watch....so I need the recommendations from you guys...and below are some of the criteria im looking for:-
1. Budget : RM1400 - RM1700
2. Swiss-Made Preferable, or other as well...
3. Mechanical, not battery-operated
4. The "clock" part preferable to look simple, as in won't have so many "smaller clock" inside, but if it looks cool then its alrite ^^...but able to show me day and date[optional]
5. I'm a 19 years old male with thin wrist[as im thin >_<], so won't want smtg tat might too mature for me..
6. Erm if possible waterproof...need not to be "very" water proof as i wont wear those to diving or even shower
7. The numbers and the hand in the watch glows in dark
8. I wear watch 24/7 even when sleep except shower
9. Leather Strap, not Metal Strap***

And also, please do suggest me where can I get those watch in KL[im a kl ppl] ..

You may want to look at pilot watches aka fliegers. A pilot watch with ETA 2824 movement would be well within your budget.
I believe a few of the brands are mentioned in the first post by patryn. Some are German made with Swiss movements, eg Laco, Stowa. Some are Swiss made, eg Christopher Ward (UK designed), Steinhart.
