So it's true they never follow their supposedly minimum and maximum CL? As I'm very sure that I've seen statements with higher CL than it was written there
*
For Citibank Plat cc, its CL was between RM20k and RM450k.

Try and wait a few working days. I guess it's because they haven't updated their system yet.

Yup ... very hard to approve.
It is the same situation if you are applying for a credit card in most countries as a foreigner. Not only in Malaysia.

as far as i dealing v them, most of the merchant charge 3-5% no matter which shop as long there are electrical n those computer shop...

for computer shop i think is well known....no matter what particular amount u buy, they will always charge the interest....

maybe u seldom shop for computer gadget...seldom ppl will swipe their card for this particular matter except when u goin to buy LCD TV, Fridge etc

3.5% high, usually IT shops charge 2% for Visa/MC. Bought a HP Desktop last week at Thurdermatch @ Digitalmall (cheaper then HP online in terms of specs and with 3 years care pack extended warranty FOC) no extra charge for using my CC smile.gif

The cash back is capped at RM500/pa. However, the bonus point isn't. This is one of the very few cards that give cash rebate on top of the normal bonus points. Each Ringgit charged locally will get 1.5 points while overseas transaction will each get 2 points. This is pretty cool. Definitely one of the better cards in the market. The card's design is very refreshing too !

Except the design, 1.5x points & 1% rebate for overseas spending (cap RM 500), nothing else? Some more so high requirements.

So what else do you want this card to do ? Be realistic, there's a limit to everything. I find it amusing ... requirement too high then complain, requirement too low then complain also.

Note the Signature series places this card above the Platinum card but below the VI.

Comparing bonus points and cash back only, Alliance Plat cash back capped at about RM800 per year and bonus points 2X times too for overseas but only 1X for local use. But then again Alliance Plat no need to spend RM30K for annual fee waiver.

I agreed that Visa Signature should be at this requirement.
As hye mentioned, this card is higher than platinum series.
Just curious what is the minimum CL they will assign on this card.

The high requirement is to maintain the exclusivity of the card. You do not want it to be like a Standard Chartered Platinum card right which really is a joke !

Anyway, i find the rewards all right. There is a limit to everything. Besides, most cards even the prestigious ones such as Standard Chartered Priority Banking VISA Infinite, HSBC Premier MasterCard, HSBC VISA Platinum, CIMB World MasterCard etc don't really give a lot to their cardholders. So, this definitely is the better one out there.

Different of rank that is.

VISA range of cards ranking
> Infinite or Black
> Signature
> Platinum
> Gold
> Classic/Silver

By the way, Citibank Hong Kong and Citibank Singapore also issue VISA Ultima card to some of their customers. The Citi VISA Ultima card is the equivalent of VISA Black card.

I feel nothing special really including the CIMB WMC & VI. Cards at this level should offer a lot of exclusive benefits, other than just puny rebate & points. Unless you travel overseas darn often where you can get 1% rebate + 2x points together for this card. However of course the Samsonite free gift is good.
