Just received CIMB Gold MasterCard, My income more than 30k per year, and 50k/year including bonus, commissen etc. But my Credit limit is 2x from my salary. What is the minimum credit limit for gold card actually? i am very dissapointed.. have to pay gold card fee per year, but credit limit just like classic/silver card.

Didn't you read the fee and charges for the card before applying for it ? Anyway, CIMB Bank MasterCard are all annual fee free. I am 100% sure of that. They only charge annual fee for Classic and Gold Supplementary MasterCard but no worries, the annual fee can be easily waived with just one simple call to their credit card call centre.

For CIMB All type of Mastercard(Excluding Enrich Mastercard) are free for life.
CIMB TNG Visa,Visa Platinum and Visa Infinite are free for life too.
The annual fee you saw it must be the CIMB Visa Gold and Visa Classic.

Same as Alliance. They are not afraid of "threats", even though you are their Privilege Banking customer.

No. CIMB Enrich MC is not free. You need to request for AF waiver, which is subject to approval.

regarding to expresspay (autopayment) by AMEX, is it necessary that the autodebit account holder, ie digi, must be the same person as the card holder? in another word, can i opt for autopayment for other people's  digi bill?
*
Yes, you can do that.

I forgot to pay my Ambank card on due date and only realised on day 4. Was charged on late charges RM39 and interest of RM44+.
*
I am sure the bank will grant you the waiver, if you can give them a solid reason.

Well I saw a piece of circular sort of like that stating the credit limit minimum to maximum for each kind of card. Asuuming cash back platinum is a platinum card then the minimum should be 20k
*
For Citibank, the minimum CL for its Plat was supposedly RM20k. But it could have lowered its limit as banks tend to lure more customers by throwing Plat CCs.

QUOTE(siutimtim @ Jun 14 2010, 11:54 AM)
any freebies they are giving?
*
Alliance CCs lack exciting promotions. Alliance comparatively has a low customer base. However, I've never won anything from them.

QUOTE(hebe87 @ Jun 14 2010, 09:16 PM)
Actually One Essential is better

It offers uncapped 1% cash back
*
It used to give cash back for spending (except petrol) based on denomination of RM100. The T&Cs may have changed now.
