QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Jun 11 2010, 02:45 AM) wow...I dunno abt u guys but I've never had 'unanswered' calls before. Its been 5 years since I took my first Maybank card. You could also visit their Credit Card branch at 1U...that place very efficient punya, no waiting line...at most I waited 5 minutes for my queue. I often visit there when I'm just too lazy to call or explain my problem through the phone Personal top record for calling the 1300 number is over 18 minutes waiting time. If you willing to wait long enough, of course their CS will pick up the call in the end. The 1U card centre has not much queue but the place usually filled with inexperience staffs. Been there submitted my pay slip asking for card upgrade before but they lost the document in the end. After that I even made a complaint again there, ended up also no reply until today. Really given up on Maybank. The only good thing left is their 0% EPP widely available. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 16 2010, 10:17 PM) The high requirement is to maintain the exclusivity of the card. You do not want it to be like a Standard Chartered Platinum card right which really is a joke ! I feel nothing special really including the CIMB WMC & VI. Cards at this level should offer a lot of exclusive benefits, other than just puny rebate & points. Unless you travel overseas darn often where you can get 1% rebate + 2x points together for this card. However of course the Samsonite free gift is good.Anyway, i find the rewards all right. There is a limit to everything. Besides, most cards even the prestigious ones such as Standard Chartered Priority Banking VISA Infinite, HSBC Premier MasterCard, HSBC VISA Platinum, CIMB World MasterCard etc don't really give a lot to their cardholders. So, this definitely is the better one out there. |

QUOTE(Centurion Lee @ Jun 17 2010, 08:20 PM) If you click on the application requirement for Visa Signature in the EON Bank website, existing other bank cardholder That is the minimum bro.for at least one year with a minimum CREDIT LINE of RM40,000 and a copy of the other bank credit card front and back. That mean, the minimum credit limit for the Visa Signature is only RM40,000. Very low. Even my Amex Gold Credit Card credit limit is much higher that that. What sort of Visa Signature is that ? A "beyond Platinum " status with a Gold credit card limit ? If you want to say about dirt cheap CL, SCB Platinum has a CL of as low as RM 3k for fresh graduates. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 17 2010, 09:36 PM) Mind you the credit limit of Standard Chartered Priority Banking VISA Infinite, which is a class higher than EON Bank VISA Signature also starts around that figures. You sure SCB VI giving such low CL? I doubt so as their VI customers had a chunk of money with their Priority Banking account. The lowest credit limit for a Platinum card is RM1000. One of the users here have it For lowest CL for Platinum, I am not sure how much. But lowest figure I know from someone is RM 3k. RM 1k is really a joke, what is SCB thinking? |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 17 2010, 10:52 PM) 110% yes ! I couldn't be any more confident ! Even HSBC Premier MasterCard credit limit starts around that figures. There are a few Standard Chartered Bank Priority Banking customers lurking around in this very thread. Who knows better than the actual cardholder eh ? No way SCB will give a starting CL of RM 1k to the VI holder unless the Priority Banking customer requested for it. I have an immediate family member using the SCB VI.This post has been edited by deeplyheartbroken: Jun 17 2010, 11:51 PM |

Just exactly When and where did you see me saying the starting credit line for the Standard Chartered Bank Priority Banking VISA Infinite is RM1000 ????? Mind you the credit limit of Standard Chartered Priority Banking VISA Infinite, which is a class higher than EON Bank VISA Signature also starts around that figures.
You sure SCB VI giving such low CL? I doubt so as their VI customers had a chunk of money with their Priority Banking account.
110% yes ! I couldn't be any more confident ! Who knows better than the actual cardholder eh ?
Then what you mean on around that 'figures' if it is not RM 1k CL ??? As I know our member Winner has the SCB VI before but he already cancelled it. Or perhaps you can direct us to the post the particular member mentioned about this. Anyhow even if it is RM 3k CL I mentioned much earlier, it still does not make sense. You need a deposit or investment worth RM 200k & above to be SCB PB. Although this is not much to some but it is definitely much more than a fresh graduate accounts who only has a few thousands in the account but still getting the same region of RM 2k to 5k CL. As I said before unless it is requested by the customer themselves, otherwise I am pretty sure this won't happen. SCB PB won't take such a risk to offend their customer for offering such ridiculous CL, although exceptional to some particular members here who prefer low CL. Since I am going SCB PB today, so I will further verify this. |

Erm .. yeah ! Isn't that obvious enough ? See the reply below : Mind you the credit limit of Standard Chartered Priority Banking VISA Infinite, which is a class higher than EON Bank VISA Signature also starts around that figures.
Get it now ? RM40,000 is the one i was referring to all this while. Yes. He had. But some other people have it too. The post is here somewhere and you can dig it out yourself if you want to. That's wrong ! You now need a minimum of RM250,000 of deposit/investment to become a Standard Chartered Bank Priority Banking customer. The starting credit limit for the SCB PB VI is definitely somewhere around RM40,000 (just a tiny bit more actually). So is the HSBC Premier MasterCard. OH MY GOD ! Why are you still not getting it ? Why you kept mentioning Standard Chartered Bank ? The RM1000 credit line given to a Platinum card has absolutely nothing to do with Standard Chartered Bank. Refer below :
SCB PB needs to maintain only RM 200k in the account, please refer to this link http://www.standardchartered.com.my/cb/pb/prioritytoday.html We were discussing all the while at RM 1k to 3k CL right after the RM 40k post, logically if it is RM 40k CL then of course I don't think I will be posting all the previous replies here. If I truly misunderstood your statement then it is my bad. For the RM 1000 CL, it is not even worth mentioning at all because we were all discussing about the CL given by the banks itself, not a decreased CL requested by the customer. And lastly, why being so worked up on a mere discussion? This post has been edited by deeplyheartbroken: Jun 18 2010, 09:23 AM |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 18 2010, 09:44 AM) Dude, the requirement has changed. And the webpage you quoted is the old one. It doesn't hurt to listen, does it ? Just called the hotline, old customer still allowed to retain minimum RM 200k for SCB PB. And yes the website was outdated. However, the post you first quoted me was replied to Centurion Lee's post about the starting credit limit for the newly launched EON Bank VISA Signature is only RM40,000. And if you refer to one of the quotes i posted in my previous replies and actually read it and try to understand it, you would have known that i was referring to RM40,000 all this while ! You sure did ! First of all, the credit limit of RM1000 - RM3000 which was discussed here yesterday was specifically referring to a Platinum card of which the bank's name was not mentioned then. Besides, it was never said that we were on discussion strictly about credit limit given by the bank itself and not the one requested by the cardholder. How do you think we all know about the RM1000 CL given to a Platinum card then ? Because we were all talking about the credit card credit limit. Everything is written clearly. Why are we not on the same page is simply beyond me. You kept on and on about this RM1000 despite all quotes i posted in my two previous replies specifically directed to you. This confusion shouldn't even happen in the first place if you read all posts clearly before hitting the reply button. Of course people will get frustrated after a while. Why is that so hard for you to understand ? Regarding the CL, we were all talking RM 1k to 3k CL back then. What you mean I don't listen & hard to understand? The moment I said the RM 1k CL previously, you should have known the matter it is not about the RM 40k CL that I mentioned it is so low. You can easily point out the mistake back then & you got frustrated instead then kept arguing like you want to prove you are winning? You refer to RM 40k CL & I refer to between RM 1k to 3K CL, now we know there is a miscommunication & I admitted it is my bad if I misunderstood about it, end of story. Seriously this just a discussion thread, no use being so worked up & it only shows your immaturity & attitude problem. This post has been edited by deeplyheartbroken: Jun 18 2010, 10:24 AM |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 18 2010, 02:16 PM) I've repeatedly pointing out that i was referring to RM40,000 but somehow you do not understand and refuse to listen ! It almost appeared to me you have problem reading English. Yea right, you just point out that you are actually referring to RM 40k CL this morning. This is despite we were already discussing RM 1k to 3k CL back yesterday.Despite numerous attempts trying to point out that you have misunderstood all this while and instead of reading all the posts clearly, you just kept on and on about something which absolutely has nothing to do with Standard Chartered Bank in the first place. Not even words in bold can make you understand. Moreover, i asked you where did you see me saying the starting credit line of SCB PA VI is RM1000. A question completely ignored by you. We people were discussing how low CL SCB Platinum can give out these days. Then suddenly you pops out saying SCB VI & HSBC Premier MC is giving out about the same figure. Of course there is a tendency people will misunderstood you meant about the RM 1k to 3k CL we were talking about. To add on it I already mentioned RM 1k CL much earlier right? But you still does not point out the RM 40k CL that you are actually referring to despite knowing it. QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 18 2010, 02:16 PM) It's not to prove that i am winning. It is to prove what is right and to make a stand. Are you not doing the same thing ? And you seem to have a big problem listening to other people. Before you start labelling other people as immature, you might want to have a look of your goodself on a mirror. We are doing the same thing which is to prove we are right. And as mentioned over and over again, we wouldn't even be having this conversation if u read all my posts clearly and make sure you understand them all before replying. Maybe you can continue harping this to yourself as wasting my time with you is truly testing my patience. This post has been edited by deeplyheartbroken: Jun 18 2010, 03:21 PM |
