wow, alliance plat higher than amex gold, no joke shocking.gif
*
It's confirmed Alliance charges higher than other bank!

Last week I again used my Alliance Visa Plat to settle my hotel bill in Abu Dhabi, while my colleague used his HSBC Premier MC to pay the hotel bill. We checked out and made the payment at the same time. When I checked my unbilled amount online a few days later, Alliance's figure was 0.9% higher than my friend's HSBC!

What is good with SCB VI?
*
The card is not good enough to me. That's why I cancelled it long ago.

However, if it is compared to other premium card like CIMB/DA VI or World MC, this card is still better. For example, it gives free travel insurance of up to RM3mil and free travel medical insurance of up to RM50,000 each for cardholder and his/her spouse. No other cards in Malaysia offer such a high premium.

What is the difference with Citibank's One Bill service compared to calling the merchant to charge to my credit card as auto-debit ?
*
When u enrol via OneBill, the cs can tell how many auto pay u have, if via merchant cs can't tell.

last time i'd call to check do i still have auto pay TNB/astro they can only tell TNB as astro not via them

Hi guys, I have a quick question.

So I finally decided to apply for credit card from several banks, but I am not sure if it's wise because they mention that the RM50 tax will be incurred on the first cycle of bill. So right now I'll be applying for credit cards from 4 different banks just to increase the odds of approval.

My question is, will I be allowed to turn down the credit card offer, just in case?

Thanks.

My sincere answer to you is not to do so, do apply one by one. Or if you are in a hurry max 2 @ any one time.

Couple of reasons
1. Some banks auto activate the card and send it to you meaning while there's still a possibility you can cancel the offer (or not), you have to go through a lot of hassle to do so.
2. Some banks the moment they see more than 3 applications under processing (READ 'under processing' status), they will reject your applications. I'm sure you don't this to happen as well.

Hi guys, thanks again for the replies. I'm thinking of applying classic master card from AmBank, RHB, CIMB or HSBC. Don't know which of these are more lenient in terms of application approval, but since I'm kind of in a rush to get a credit card (for some purposes), it has to be done by the end of next week. Any advice?

And if you need it by end of next week. Good luck to that.
As earlier mentioned ... forgo HSBC coz they are not lenient and in fact they are the toughest of the entire cc providers. And RHB also - super slow, last time it took them 2 months before they send me the card. So your choice is clear ... try AMBank or CIMB.

Get CIMB. I applied mine using my offer letter and 1 month payslip only. Then it reaches exactly 1 week. smile.gif

Either
(i) Bring any existing CC that is under your name as principal card holder, which you have hold for >2 years.

- or -
(ii) Bring 3 months salary slip and/or EA form.

chances are better if you already have a one year old card. Unless you never pay the monthly statement on that card every month.

Not at all. They only know HSBC and Citibank.
It is a LOUSY card for overseas use as most of your purchases are likely to be in the other purchases category which earn you only 0.3% cash back.

really?! so my choice is only limited to HSBC and citibank if i want to use my card in aussie?

No problems, you can use any Malaysian issued CCs in Australia. In terms of card recognition, nonetheless, the 2 banks above are very well recognised worldwide.
