PBB rate pretty low. The other day I calculated should be around 700 but ended up only 660

All banks should be able to convert purchase to installment. Some may even offer the 0% installment

QUOTE(cenkudu @ May 20 2010, 03:46 PM) Actually SCB is doing a promotion right now. I'm not sure whether the promotion is throughout the year; according to the letter this is a promotion for cards holders that the card is expired in May 2010 and decide to retain the card for the following year. the only condition is that you need to swipe 3 times during the renewal months. They will give 11,000 rewards points. at the same time you need to redeem 10,000 points to waive for the tax. As for HSBC, I have the same experienced they could not simply waive your card. Did you ask SCB if this is for all year round or only May? |

QUOTE(cenkudu @ May 20 2010, 08:28 PM) perhaps you can flash an email to SCB once you close to the expiry date. according to this letter, this is exclusive for your card which are due to renewal in May 2010. sorry maybe I the way I wrote is misleading. Maybe they issue this offer on regular basis, who knows Oh ok You saw the leaflet at their branch? |

QUOTE(cenkudu @ May 20 2010, 08:56 PM) nope that leaflet was sent to me, that is why I think they might send the same leaflet to you but changing the month to fit your expiry date oh well I seldom use the card so dunno they will send it to me or not but all my purchase using SCB is above 5k hmmwhat I did so far: -email CS asking about how to use rewards point to waive for service tax (since there is no option for this in the online rewards) -CS called me mentioned to me that I need to use 10k points for that purpose and he can do that straight away -CS mentioned also to me that as a reward for my royalty they have promotion where they will give 11k points sometimes in June provided I charge the card three times -then they mailed a leaflet (like a promotion letter) mentioned the same things as above |

QUOTE(hye @ May 31 2010, 02:42 PM) The more important element when using credit card is customer service. (At least this is my personal opinion/preference) You will need their help if something happens e.g lost credit card, overseas transactions, fraud, transactions dispute, etc. That's why I'm not too crazy about cards from e.g AEON just because you will get more Jusco points. The extras are nothing compared to the hassle should you encounter problems with your cc account. If BSN never link with other bank then it would be a disaster. IIRC they only launch their internet banking not long agoTo give the benefit of the doubt ... there's not many BSN cc holders out there. Same goes for Bank Rakyat as well ... I'm not crazy about this card as well. Paying credit card can be done via IBG ... no need queue. Pay the IBG fee is better than waiting for 1 hour to settle. Added on May 31, 2010, 2:47 pm If you are certain your info has been misused by the bank, do report it to the bank and BNM. Don't tolerate this as it undermines the security of your personal information which is supposed to be guaranteed by the banks/BNM. Normally done by those agents crazy to meet their quota or opportunists. I had experienced this before and the bank caught their personnel who did this. I received a personal apology and the person was seriously reprimanded. Since then I noticed the bank had no more such nonsense coz their staff must have been severely warned or face immediate termination. |

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jun 3 2010, 05:31 PM) Yup they keep having 8% cashback now it's 15% but there is a catch. You need to sms in. Many people thought it's automatic lolzAdded on June 3, 2010, 8:26 pm QUOTE(yhtan @ Jun 3 2010, 02:12 AM) u mean u just apply for SCB credit card? Dude now it's RM150 for platinum or gold already. As such the RM50 extra is to absorb the taxbeen approach by those salesman and they said they will give out rebate RM50 for classic and RM100 for platinum if i'm not mistaken so far for foreign bank, only UOB and SCB absorb the RM50 government tax This post has been edited by Darkmage12: Jun 3 2010, 08:26 PM |
