Yeah, which is why I still can't decide whether to take Citibank Airasia or not. Still worth the try? unsure.gif

be aware that for citi AA, the point for redemption on service tax is much higher than other citi cards
Principle 13,000 vs 10,000
Supplementary 6,500 vs 5,000

9. When u purchase high value object for example a watch, u might be subjected to a cc service tax(not sure what this tiax is call) that varies for different outlets ranging from 1%-3%. Always ask the salesperson what the amount is.
this is processing fees that should be paid by merchant to cc to use the service, cc user should not bear this cost & could just choose another shop smile.gif

i approached the citibank salesman in Penang Queensbay mall and asked about the new plat cash back card. They are not very sure whether existing citibank credit card customers can get the RM60 cash back when their plat cash back card is approved. It sounds like they need clarification from Citibank HQ
*
just call 1300 88 5555 & ask 4 the 2nd card application form. in the form you'll just fill in basic info & existing card no
i'm waiting 4 this new card to be approved & cancel my clear card smile.gif

What is the difference with Citibank's One Bill service compared to calling the merchant to charge to my credit card as auto-debit ?
*
When u enrol via OneBill, the cs can tell how many auto pay u have, if via merchant cs can't tell.

last time i'd call to check do i still have auto pay TNB/astro they can only tell TNB as astro not via them

Just receive an SMS from Citibank promoting the Cash Back Platinum card..FREE Echolac Travel Bag worth RM399.

Would I get the RM60 rebate if I sign up thru SMS offers ?
*
it's good compare myself got nothing as i'm request it earlier sad.gif

While i was speaking with the telemarketer, she said RM60 will be given with 1 auto bill. i'll check my 1st statement.

if u could login to citi web, send them a msg & keep it as a proof that u can get the rebate

Finally got my Citibank Cash Back Platinum today.
- Card feels lighter that conventional cc but doesn't affect the usability of the card.
- Design wise ... look like someone printed the card using a laser printer. (or feels like it) Personally I like the design as I am bored with the usual Platinum card design which is basically a souped up silver card look.
the card feel like a matt laminated name card smile.gif

Citibank cash back platinum need to register for at least one 'one bill' before they waive for GST. is this one bill = auto pay. can we cancel this one bill service in less than 1 year because if can't that just simply means we need to pay GST for the following year
*
this card GST waiver is only for 1st year only

i had Clear Visa (classic) with citibank, & i'm able to get the cash back plat, maybe the limit is above RM10k smile.gif

My Q is, I've check in Citibank website, there are also CASH BACK card beside for Platinum, anyone actually holding that CASH BACK card?

the cash back gold is not as good as cask back plat as it need Carried Forward Balance to enjoy cash back

Hi, is it recommended to go for the Card Protection Plan RM98 per year for our credit card? For my previous cards, I never apply for it. If we did not buy the plan, are we going to bear every losses when our card was cloned etc?

I'm filling up new application form now, but couldn't decide whether to tick the Card Protection Plan section or not. sad.gif
*
this is the list of the cpp benefit
http://www.cppasia.com.my/eng/what/protection.htm
besides the benefit above, you just need to call cpp to cancel all your cards smile.gif

for clone card, just call the bank & dispute the transaction. dont think it's cover.
