i used to have the same problems with legs except it was my calves not quads.
sometimes even doing light cardio will make my calves cramp! shitty.. and it hurts like ^@%&@!*!$@*%&
maybe no proper warmup or stretching la.
but since i take animal pak hardly have any cramps except if I go swimming (sudden leg movement under the water).
sigh.

Yea my quads cramp up. Its not because of no proper warmup or stretching. It only happens after my workout. Probably due to fatigue. I hit calves on a separate day as quads and hams so its ok for me.

woah, john's legs are huge. I havent squat for a very long time since gym near me closed. just doing sprinting once in a while to train legs.

ohhhh, never experience cramp on my quads...
give it a good stretch la every now and then after u do ur quads.
maybe it'll helps, it feels good too to let the blood all flows in.

i hate going up and down the staircase after leg day...
sigh.
I have to climb 3 storey to go to my gym sad.gif

Umm... their rates are increasing to RM10 so I don't think so. I'm joining Dan at Average Joe gym in Bandar Sg. Long more often nowadays. You ffk that day lol. But if you ajak, boleh jugak.

i have a question guys, i'm a beginner. and i been doing full body training on alternate day for 3 month plus. but my right thigh is having this weird numbness after one of my leg press workout.
the numbness continue for days, and i have to go to clinic, and doctor said is normal sport injury. I wonder did that mean i'm not suppose to do leg press anymore??
or i shudnt work too hard on leg press?? i do 8 set of 15 rep. in 30 kg or lbs, not remember what is the number on the machine indicate..

i think for first timer its normal to have muscle sprain (crampness & numbness that lasted several days)...
does your pain occur everytime you do your leg presses for 3 month????
or is it just a one time incident??? which lasted for several days????
if its one time i guess its normal.

try not to go too hard or too heavy for the first time.
increase the weight gradually as your body get used to it. u cant go really heavy the first day.

i remember the first time i did deadlift, it felt like i was paralyzed for 3-4 days.
cant even move my back, LOL

the numbness occur during the leg press, i tok my muscle is tired or something.. so i carry on doing it.. and it last for week.. doctor i went to prescribe me with vit B complex somehow. now the numbness is gone, only tingling on the thigh once in a while when i walk.
i'm not sure if i can do leg press again, so i'm doing leg extension now..

lost the sense of feeling on your leg??? hips?? knee???
like u pinch your hips and it doesnt hurt??
it feels more numb especially if you go up and down staircase???

i check le.. doctor say no big deal.. just sport injury.. then give me some Vitamin B complex..
but now i not sure i can continue doing leg press or not.. now that my numbness has cure... it only happen on my right thigh..

our poundages and goals are almost the same bro
except squat cuz my squat maximum for 12 reps is just 70-75kgs je
and leg extension at 150lbs
havent played leg press for 2months
last i did was 220kgs x 12
damn that was hard last time...perhaps mau add balek the routine now for leg

got people advertise animal pak ke? not that it has any realistic effect pun

I do 3 working sets for squats u know not one set...

@ReonLim- Oh you member at kaki gym huh. Average Joe is RM5 also for student no matter what time lol. Dan training there ma.

yup yup, i do, but sometimes i have the phobia of going really heavy with it because of the cramps..
in malay they call it simpul biawak kan?
yes animal pak helps alot, if i were to do cardio without it, once i stop running my calves will slowly cramp up until it cools down. and it hurts like @%(*@()*@!%()%*(!&%(@)!

Animalpak tu just multivits.
maybe i'm lacking some of the minerals it provided, so when i took animal pak the cramp thing minimize...
i had this problem since i was a kid, even at night when i sleep my calves will suddenly cramp.
then i have to golek sane golek sini pressing my calves which hurts like ****. the next day sure kenot walk straight.
