Honestly speaking, Steve should do something about getting Flash.

I saw some website comparing A4 and Snapdragon by loading website. I think its not a fair comparison to compare processor speed lor. Iphone dont load flash but the other competitor (Android) does.

you are literally contradicting yourself.

your last statement basically highlights the fact the flash is indeed memory and processor power hogging.

if it is, why should apple succumb itself to such 'inefficiency'.

you are better off setting off a new trend, which you know it will be better off in the long run.

cannot possibly stick to old, conventional technologies because of 'reminiscing old times' sake.

Guys, do you think after one year Apple will launch the iPhone 4 a better version? Like from the 3G to 3GS. Should I get it or wait.

There's a reason why we have pinned threads. Please take sometime to read: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/871684

@1GTR1

Either you buy or you don't. We can't make decision for you as it's your own cash. What you can do is to buy iPhone 4 and use it for 2 years and then upgrade to the next gen iPhone. That's what i'm doing. Every 2 years, i update with new iPhone.

@dvlzplayground

Please update your first post with the latest infos on iPhone 4 and IOS 4.

Thank you

Just finished reading 30+ pages of this thread. Lots of repeated questions, which is unnecessary in the first place if people care enough to read or perform a simple Google search.

As suggested by some of you, this topic needs its own FAQs section.

As for iPhone 4, I don't think I will upgrade. But if I do decide to upgrade, it will be in October simply because I got my 3GS last October. This way, I would have used the 3GS for 1 year.

Plus, in terms of user experience, the new iOS 4 will transform the current 3GS into a new iPhone (albeit not on par with iPhone 4). Similar to the time when we upgraded from iOS 2.2 to 3.0 smile.gif

That said, I need to be wary of the poisoners here tongue.gif

Moving past the petty squabbles we're seeing here, I've read July 18th as the possible date for AUS launch. But looking at the calendar, it's a Sunday, and historically, no iPhone launch has ever been on a Sunday.

I've requested and blocked my roster for next month on the last three Friday-Sunday days, namely 15-17th/22-24th/29-31st for the estimated AUS launch. If I can, I'll even line up.

I'll post another post after this, just got an MMS from my bro in Maxis, screenshot of the FAQ for frontliners in Maxis for their iPhone 4 plans.

EDIt: Meh. Not much of infos on the screenshot FAQ, only tangible info is that Maxis will be launching in "Quarter 3, 2010", which is codename for September.

Fumjusta, where are you bro? Care to shed some light into this? Your senior just sent me the FAQ screenies. tongue.gif

It's a known fact that iPhone will always refresh on June or July every year. Do more research before buying late !

Yea I noticed that trend too, I guess i'll wait. At least when I get the better version, then the next upgrade will be the better version of the new phone, and so on and on.

I wonder will Maxis have a upgrade plan like what Steve Jobs mention about AT&T giving the customer the ability to upgrade their current contract to extend another 2 years and the new iPhone 4 will just cost somewhere the price you paid for iPhone 3GS via contract basis.

If they happen to have this kind of idea, iPhone 4 can easily sell.

What do you guys think?

Yes I would definitely agree. But what happens to those who bought their iPhone 3GSes without contract, but with warranty of a year (prepaid users). Only time will tell, when will Maxis step up to the plate and brief their arrangements with Apple this time around.

is only meant for contract basis. Who would offer you an upgrade deal when you don't sign up contract with them. They won't do a non profit deals.
