ip4 look more slim biggrin.gif

Slimness is not my priority as i can just slot it inside my pocket just like the 3GS, of course it is need an extra to have it slimmer...

HD video recording is more attractive in my books, as i always do video recording in outdoor.

guys be warned that teh installing of iOS4 and teh subsequent problems resulting from it will nullify your warranty shud u go to any of the Digi or Maxis centers.
*
Was it stated in the Maxis EULA or iOS 4 GM EULA? Because i do not remember reading anything about voiding the warranty? And if some physical damage which is covered under the warranty happens, after restoration to 3.1.3, how would maxis staff be aware of the upgrade?

im nt pointing this to DEVs lah abang, i meant the average users who dont know how to restore back firmware and stuff, its a maxis policy i think, heard of this case before from a staff.

Iphone 4 definitely i like it. It much way more better than 3GS. Plan to get it as well

Anyway, upgrading the OS will void warranty? unless is physical damage and Jailbreak, i don't think warranty can be void by upgrading OS provided Apple.

dude, we have said this in this subforum so many times already, the iphone will only get cheaper according to how much commitment you sign up with Telco M or D per month and also the number of years contract, otherwise dream on. Its all based on your monthly commitment, the higher the cheaper the cost or free to own iphone.

I suggest the TS of this thread try and collect all the valuable infos related to the topic title in the form of an FAQ before it gets drowned in the sea of one-liners and irrelevant content. Otherwise we'll just the same thing that happens last time during the iPhone 3G, repeated questions and answers of the same thing.

I myself will refrain from posting irrelevant nonsense so that the thread does not degenerate into mere Kopitiam-style posting. Let's keep that banality in its own allocated space.

Should we upgrade our firmware?

Up to you, nimrod said it would void your warranty if anything happens to the phone and you cant fix it and you are not a developer.
Anyway to download the GM release you need a dev account. Or you could find a torrent. Anyway, the gm release does not require a uuid so normal users can upgrade. The gm release should be safe as they are probably gonna release the same build to the public on the 21st.

To add further to the caveat emptor tongue.gif, you also need iTunes 9.2 which is not available anywhere but in the dev section. And iTunes 9.2 is only available on Mac OS X at the time of writing of this post. One dev posted on Macrumors caught off guard on this fact after upgrading his iPhone to the GM release on his MAc, and tries to sync on his Windows computer where all his media content reside. iTunes 9.1.x will only spew incompatibility popups if you do so.
