QUOTE(prototype_x0 @ Jun 8 2010, 07:15 PM) one thing that i would like to ask, if anyone knows the answer how about the micro-sim? iphone 4 support only micro sim which we all definitely need to change our sim card, and since maxis and digi will be officially bring it to our shore, how about the rest of the telco? im using celcom right now, does anybody did celcom have micro sim? Only Celcom knows the answer. Most if not all the microsim in the market right now in Malaysia are used for data packages, bundled with USB modems. Once iPhone arrives, the two already supporting telco will have them in place. As for Celcom you can always mutilate it and use it in the iPhone. If you need to reuse it on another phone with normal sim slot, I can guarantee you that by the time that happens, the market will be flooded with microsim-to-normal-sim adapters that you can get for RM10. This isnt an issue worth getting worried after IMO.

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jun 8 2010, 07:02 PM) I suggest the TS of this thread try and collect all the valuable infos related to the topic title in the form of an FAQ before it gets drowned in the sea of one-liners and irrelevant content. Otherwise we'll just the same thing that happens last time during the iPhone 3G, repeated questions and answers of the same thing. I myself will refrain from posting irrelevant nonsense so that the thread does not degenerate into mere Kopitiam-style posting. Let's keep that banality in its own allocated space. im the TS but my finals is next week lol. last paper on 21st, will update later! for now juz dun answer repeated questions...hard for me to go thru later

The keynote will come from Apple in the form of a video podcast. Subscribe to it on iTunes for free and it'll download itself automatically when Apple post it online.

You must be the biggest ignorant person ever, do you even think before posting? THERE IS NO SUPPORT FOR IPHONE 2G. and even Steve said there is no support, read up and educate yourself.http://mashable.com/2010/04/12/iphone-2g-no-4-0/

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Jun 8 2010, 05:48 PM) @bearbearhong, Yes.. no video conference unless on WiFi and only via iPhone 4 to iPhone 4. Dunno about DiGi being generous but can't be lah; perhaps some kinda rumour? *shrugs* turn on tethering on iphone. connect iphone to pc/laptop/mac. set wifi on pc/laptop/mac to adhoc network. connect iphone's wifi to the adhoc network. walla! video call over 3g/gprs! owh, the new one got UMTS right? coooollll... already sold my iphone, waiting for iphone 4. patience is virtue. anyway, was hoping for free mobile me. owh well.. You tell me then what kind of answer anyone would get if he asks about cutting simcards into microsim size, at this EARLY a time where the only microsim seen by Malaysians are the ones used for iPads and/or USB 3G modems. In which I believe I have experience with since I'm using iPad 3G myself. Might I then ask what have you contributed to keep this thread relevant and useful, my good man? Addendum: IF the size of the simcard is of your concern, how did we move from the old days of the credit-card size simcard to the current simcard size of today? *gasp* We cut them down to size. Or rather the telco provides you with the appropriate sized simcard that is precut down to size. Read all the other tech publications and what their take is on the microsim and what their plan is on tackling the size difference. Wanna take a wild guess what their answer is? Yep, cut-down-and-use-adapter when that time comes. If you're phobic when it comes to take the knife to your sim card, then I guess......stay with the iPhone 3G[S]? Technology does not wait for no man, and this is a perfect example of where it strides forward rather than staying stagnant. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Jun 8 2010, 08:59 PM

Proudly Kampungite, will always be one.

It is a good Apple decides not to provide support iPhone 2G.
This is because from marketing point of view, the product age which is 3 years old, should be phased out and most of the people who use it for 3 years, might have save enough money for new one.

Honestly speaking, Steve should do something about getting Flash.
I saw some website comparing A4 and Snapdragon by loading website. I think its not a fair comparison to compare processor speed lor. Iphone dont load flash but the other competitor (Android) does.
