Discovery HD is not launching on the 1st of April on Astro.

As rightly spotted by several posters here this was a scheduled promo by Discovery on their channels & should not have been scheduled to the regional feeds. It's not just Malaysia that would have seen that spot & isn't getting it.

When new HD channels come to Astro there will be official announcements.

Yeah I know, me too.
I'm sure you appreciate that we can't just open a channel cause it's there, deals need to be done and contracts signed etc.

wow..so a lot of people here will wake up and read TallJustin's BREAKING NEWS that will just be BREAKING so many hearts.. I bet u a lot pf people will be moody at work today getting that news..

CONFIRM NO DISCOVERY HD ON 1ST APRIL

Now yeah we know we are 2 Discovery channels behind Singapore, India, Indon and so on..
But I think we will get that very soon..my bet is after World Cup in July..
Astro will want to pull new customers for HD
So new channels la after World Cup finish

What kind of &^%&%% deal do you need? Just take the &^%*^* offer and sign the a&^*(&) contract. We want the channel, we will pay. Even poor country like Indonesia has Discovery HD.

Hi, I just got called from Astro that within 10 days, their technician will come and install b.yond for me, they also mentioned that a 20m cable will be provided, my question, is changing the cable really needed? My house just finished renovation and all cables are concealed in the wall, if changing is needed then it will bring me problem.

To install Beyond , they will need to change the entire cabling and dish as well [obviously]

Cable should be the same, as long as it is new and not oxidized badly then no changes is required, am I right?

I wonder how many of you installed b.yond without changing the cabling system...
