QUOTE(Diran Hans @ Mar 26 2010, 03:17 PM) tm customer service is fail itself... ELO~~~~ and ELO~ baca post above me That's funny because I just called up Shira at Unifi and she confirmed there is no cap for VIP package for now and that the capping might only start next year 2011. Anyway - I already subscribed to the Biz5 package yesterday.

QUOTE(Gh-x @ Mar 31 2010, 02:04 PM) Hi guys, i just call UniFi customer care and asked a few question, so here is the result( this is what the lady told me) Speed cap count both upload and download for local and international bandwidth. Once bandwidth limit is reached, speed will be capped at 80% to 85% (wasn't it 10% ? ) Speed will only be capped for international link local link will not be capped. These info somehow doesn't convince me, i think the lady didn't know much. Depending on who you speak to at Unifi customer care, you get different answers. Some say no cap, some say cap will come back sooner or later. Best is to wait for official announcement as the answers are not consistent at this stage. Today my Biz5 installed in Bangsar. No cap for Biz packages. I asked the installer about VIP packages. He said currently no cap for VIP packages but cap is inevitable eventually. Anyway - that's just his personal opinion. Does anyone know how to do port forwarding on the unify d-link router? Still have my 4MB streamyx line. Will go back tonight and do side by side torrent download comparison. QUOTE(ston3r @ Apr 1 2010, 09:54 AM) it's worst in bangsar. I signed up last friday and was told that the installation would be scheduled yesterday. I received a call from their CS saying that they need to reschedule me another week ahead! Now i'll have to wait till next Wed before they would do any installation. My installation done yesterday. The installer told me there are 8 teams in bangsar with each team being allocated only one installation per day. If they finish early then they might do two installations in a day. For VIP package, they are currently allowing up to 7 hours per installation due to the need to configure the IPTV. This post has been edited by ProComplex: Apr 1 2010, 11:55 AM

QUOTE(capricorn81 @ Apr 1 2010, 12:07 PM) I should be getting my Unifi next week. For those of you that have done your installation, do you keep all the equipments together at the same place? Is it possible to keep the btu and the gateway in one place and the dect phone and set top box in another place? The reason i'm asking this is bcos it will be a little inconvenient to keep all the equipments at the same place near your tv as the tv will usually be in the living room and I usually use my notebook in the room. Hope someone here can clarify. Thanks According to the installer, the tv set top box can be located near the tv separate from the modem and router provided the router can be connected via lan to the tv set top box as the connection from the set top box to the router is via rj45 connection. Not sure about wifi connection but it should also work I guess esp if you use N speed perhaps thats why an N speed router is supplied. This post has been edited by ProComplex: Apr 1 2010, 02:15 PM

QUOTE(rizvanrp @ Apr 1 2010, 02:37 PM) Dect phone uses RJ11 connector and cable from the fiberhome modem. The wifi router they give has custom TM firmware.. last port is painted red in colour and its meant for IPTV. If you have a direct cat5 cable connection to the set top box from another room you can separate the two. What you cannot do however is hook up a switch/hub to that red IPTV LAN port as anything thats connected to that will be placed on some 10.3.0.0/255.255.192.0 subnet with no internet access meant for IPTV. Thanks for the heads up. The installer didn't tell me that part! He made it sound so easy... QUOTE(totally_skint @ Apr 1 2010, 10:12 PM) I suppose if you have business license. Currently you don't need a business licence for Biz5. You can opt for Biz5 in a residence. This post has been edited by ProComplex: Apr 1 2010, 10:52 PM

QUOTE(iori @ Apr 2 2010, 12:25 AM) then try to apply the VIP 5 first, when cap, change to BIZ 5. can do like this? LOL.... I asked the same question at TMpoint DU. They said can upgrade within VIP package ie from VIP5 to VIP10 or VIP20 but not from VIP package to Biz package. Similarly, Biz5 can upgrade to Biz10 or Biz20.

QUOTE(Matrix @ Apr 4 2010, 06:54 AM) Hmm....anyone knows what is the penalty for early termination?? I've just apply for Streamyx 4MB on Friday....and unifi CS called me yesterday saying my area has HSBB... .....now the CS seyz i still can cancel my Streamyx and change to Unifi without penalty since it is still 'Early Stages' or something... But i am not so sure now...24 months contract....what if i wanna cancel early? I can't find the early termination clause at their website... According to TMPoint DU, early termination you have to pay the entire balance of the contract ie - don't terminate early!
