QUOTE(ahtung79 @ Mar 25 2010, 12:30 PM) my friend...believe me...P1 do progress albeit very slowly... so does TM sir, so does TM...progress bit by bit...slow but steady...if not, then TM will still sell us with 128kbps so-called BB Streamyx package, no..?? with only few years operations + number of staff, their progress is way faster then TM which decades in the industry and 30000 of staff... oh yes....& P1 have nationwide coverage...& P1 have landline backbone to taken care of... but hey, i would say thats a good sign...that means TM will have competitor to fight with...& i hope Maxis speed up their FTTH project & can provide better coverage with competitive price range...that will make TM working hard to win customers... & that is good for us, no...??? so why ranting TM...??? |

hi evo, quite long time didnt see u liao...
actually if the throttled speed is around what u said, where 10M would have around 2-4M, i think it's still gonna be ok...but i just scared that they will just throttle everyone that exceed limit to 512kbps.. |

QUOTE(lordskarn @ Mar 25 2010, 12:30 PM) Simple. wont happen thatway. The G will force it's agencies to use and G-linked arg too. Schools? Each school has 1000 pupils, 10 schools that equals 10,000 cotizens connected to the new package. Even if 1 scholl has 30 computers only.If we are not satisfied with the packages offered by UNIFI, refrain from subscribing. When TM sees their mighty new service has a grand total of 0 subscribers, they will reconsider the package / pricing / download cap etc.. or waste all their investments.. The power is in us customers.. |

80% who can afford to subscribe to unifi already have astro...but they bundle the iptv anyways for residential forcing us to get it thus increasing the price...
and yea they can say its free with the package etc but the price already incl the iptv component...nothing is free |

QUOTE(evolution120 @ Mar 25 2010, 12:34 PM) lets see, if we subscribe the 5mbps package, fair usage policy is 60G, after exceeding 60G, the speed will be reduce to 20~40% of the subscribed speed, i think is fine, as i still get around 1M to 1.Xmbps. besides, u get to watch iptv also that is not included in the bandwidth limit. so i think is kinda worth actually. if u are about to compare the iptv channels with other ISP, then i think u guys are not fair for tmnet. just compare with the US isp that some other forumer posted above just now. how much they already spent on the fiber optic infrastructure, how long they already using this technology.. Really? Just subscribe to 4mbps at RM160. You enjoy that speed all month. |

QUOTE(aerobowl @ Mar 25 2010, 12:33 PM) 5Mbps cap 60G is seriously a joke your maths sudah salah1hr usage at max 5M already 18G so 3.5hrs at max speed u have finished ur quota 5mbps = megabits cap = gigabytes So the correct maths is 5120kbps / 8 = 640kBps 640kBps is your maximum speed, assume a 80% maximum throughput (you can't get 100% speeds) 640 * 0.8 = 512kBps So each minute you can get 512 * 60 = 30720 = 30MB An hour you can download 30720 * 60 = 1843200 = 1.8GB So in an hour, you download roughly 1.8GB, not 18GB. |

@silver: but still, 1 hour of full speed is already 1.8GB, it's gonna take just a day or 2 for heavy downloaders to finish their bandwidth..
then again, maybe we are just too used to the no bandwidth limit connection that we used to have |

TMnut wants you to subscribe VIP package just to check email and normal surfing, that's why they put quota so low. GJ TMnut.
