QUOTE(BBXiong @ Mar 25 2010, 12:40 PM) @silver: but still, 1 hour of full speed is already 1.8GB, it's gonna take just a day or 2 for heavy downloaders to finish their bandwidth.. then again, maybe we are just too used to the no bandwidth limit connection that we used to have Yea, which is why the 60GB limit is stupid. It doesn't even scale properly with the packages. At maximum speeds, we would already finish our daily cap within 1 hour. If this is going to be used as our broadband initiative, then why are they limiting us like this? If we watched any HD content online, we're screwed. Not to mention LOCAL CONTENT which is what they are pushing for, supposedly that is part of the cap as well. With such a low cap, what's the point of going for such a package? Its pointless, you won't be able to use it 90% of the time because you exceeded your cap.

QUOTE(keown83 @ Mar 25 2010, 12:36 PM) so does TM sir, so does TM...progress bit by bit...slow but steady...if not, then TM will still sell us with 128kbps so-called BB Streamyx package, no..?? oh yes....& P1 have nationwide coverage...& P1 have landline backbone to taken care of... but hey, i would say thats a good sign...that means TM will have competitor to fight with...& i hope Maxis speed up their FTTH project & can provide better coverage with competitive price range...that will make TM working hard to win customers... & that is good for us, no...??? so why ranting TM...??? i couldn't agree more...but same as others, i do hope will get better pricing plan. i mean more flexible like TM can go way cheaper pricing on current unifi plan, and put higher price on customised one...maybe those that want higher quota have to pay more, those dont want iptv can pay less, those don wan phone/ipphone can pay less...or any other combination

well, unlimited can means many things. Take broadband offered by Digi as an example. Unlimited with 3GB cap. You can still use the internet (thus unlimited) but at reduced speed after the limit.

QUOTE(Mokuton @ Mar 25 2010, 12:42 PM) what the hell i was just leaving the house and saw this: and today morning they said "unlimited" on the phone? Unlimited probably means that your not being charged by the minute you can use the internet forever however there is a bandwidth cap, which after you exceed, your download/upload speed is drastically reduced until the end of the month when it will reset back your cap. And from what i've read they are saying the cap is spread evenly, so you can download so much in a day before you are capped is that right? Really, just don't subscribe for now if you think it's not worth it. It'll make TM revise their price and packages.

People keep complaining and tell others to boycott... but they still subscribe in the end. Look at the COD:MW2 boycott. Heh.

@Eralus: well said, i think i will see how it goes..as for now, i already checked on their site, and it's available on my place as well, but if there is a package without the IPTV, cheaper or maybe same price without cap, i would certainly take..since i don have any HDTV at home as well

QUOTE(Eralus @ Mar 25 2010, 12:47 PM) conclusion, stop subscribing for now until they removed the download cap..power on ur hand guys For people with hsbb supported areas right now they get it for free for 3 whole months with free installation. You think they won't sign up ???? What i am unsure is, is after 3 months can they cancel or are they stuck to a 2 year contract ????
