unifi website was working for a second just now & back to nothing: http://www.unifi.my/

Thank you for accessing our website. But it will be down until next month because we already hit the cap on our server. We don't expect too many people to access it actually.

It seems for SME, the package is better, but I doubt residential can apply for it. RM 200 for 5MBps package and with no limit.

Also, for all unify package, do noted that the maximum download allowed will be spread evenly for every day in the month. So fo 60GB, means you can only use 2GB per day. However, no mentioning what happen after that.

Anyways, TM should reduce the price of their Streamyx package. The cheapest is RM60 for 384kbps. Now with packages up to 20MBps at RM249, that RM60 sure look overprice/expensive.

lets see, if we subscribe the 5mbps package, fair usage policy is 60G, after exceeding 60G, the speed will be reduce to 20~40% of the subscribed speed, i think is fine, as i still get around 1M to 1.Xmbps. besides, u get to watch iptv also that is not included in the bandwidth limit. so i think is kinda worth actually. if u are about to compare the iptv channels with other ISP, then i think u guys are not fair for tmnet. just compare with the US isp that some other forumer posted above just now. how much they already spent on the fiber optic infrastructure, how long they already using this technology..

Really? Just subscribe to 4mbps at RM160. You enjoy that speed all month.

well, unlimited can means many things. Take broadband offered by Digi as an example. Unlimited with 3GB cap. You can still use the internet (thus unlimited) but at reduced speed after the limit.

I know the logic behind the caps where it's meant to stop people from hogging the line 24/7,but the problem is,legitimate people are also gonna hit the limit with low cap. 60GB is way too little.

Still, even 20MBps for RM5 with 120GB,i wont pay for it too. It's stupid and i hate worrying "am i using too much internets, just because i want to play TF2 an hour more a day?".

Anyway, one very important question, is there any peak and off peak caps? Like 5MB's 60GB divided to 20GB from 9am to 2am,and 40GB from 2am to 9am. Those are even annoying as who actually stay awake at night to use the 40GB cap? It's only useful to download your large stuff at night.

Thats the most annoying thing with the Australian internet.
*
The cap is spread evenly on daily basis. Which means 2GB for 5MBps package and 4 GB for 20MBps package. Per day. After that, your speed will be reduced (some say 1mb some say 512)

coz now 4mbps eredi rm160++ ...i mean consider okie compare to old pricing  tongue.gif ..
if compare to other countries..sure its expensive.........
*
But if you look at the whole picture. The price is a joke.

384k - RM60
512k - RM90
1M - RM110
2M - RM140
4M - RM160

5M - RM150
10M - RM200
20M - RM250

Seriously, with introduction of HSBB, we should enjoy 1MB at RM60. I don't mind 512k at RM40 though.

is this the new pricing for standard packages???
*
Do we still have standard package? Really, if that is so, that's even worse. That price was for combo package.

What they should do is introduce 4 speed package and from there let user choose how many data they want.

1MB, 5MB, 10MB and 20MB

1MB - 40GB, 60GB, 100GB
5MB - 40GB, 80GB, 150GB

Well, something like that. You guys get the idea right? But of course, it can't be implement now since HSBB is only for few areas for now.

Umm.. You guys really think TM will only reduce it by 10%? Very unlikely. This is from the company who can only guarantees 80% of speed at all time for local connection.

Although if you sign up now, you will enjoy 3 months free subscription, but keep in mind that you will be locked to 24 months contract. After 3 months, if you want to terminate, prepare to pay atleast rm3k. Anyone still interested?

Someone needs to verify this. I am not sure if the 24 months starts from the day you sign up or from after the 3 months. It should be after the 3 months since it is called try and buy. I try for 3 months, then I decide if I want to buy or not. But since it is TM, please verify carefully first.
*
Where do you get this try and buy thingy? I think someone did mentioned about it but it's for SME, not for residential. And for beta tester as well. Unifi has already been launched so obviously if you subscribe now, you won't be a beta tester. You'll be a new customer. But correct me if I'm wrong, anyone.

It doesn't sound logic that TMnut gives you 3 months free subscription but you'll be trapped with 24 months contract. But this's TMnut, anything non-sense also can happen.
*
It's like Digi broadband promotion. You get one month free if you sign up (don't have to pay 1st month) but the duration of the contract is 1 year.
