QUOTE(taufufa @ Mar 16 2011, 10:04 PM) yeah actually i was thinking about this too. ok, since reits will be given dividend twice or more annually. i have a question, if let say i bought it next month and may they announce the dividend yield, will i get my full dividend? or the dividend model distribution like fd need to wait at least for a year. just look at the ex-date if the date is Mar 18 2011 means today is the last day to hold, on Mar 18 2011 or onward u can sell if u want and still will get the divvy but the price will be adjusted accordingly to the divvy pay out. today 1.00 ex-date Mar 18 2011 today date Mar 17 2011 DPU (divviden per unit) 0.02 tomorrow 0.98 so it's not advisable to sell right after ex-date coz all reits divvy have to deduct 10% withholding tax. this what i learnt from sifus here.....

QUOTE(2010May @ Mar 16 2011, 08:14 PM) Impossible almost zero risk for ASM & ASW. I know that they constantly pay good dividend but they are still investing in stocks market. We can only say that ASM & ASW have skillful trader / portfolio manager. I thought the government guaranteed the unit to stay at RM1.00. Meaning that either you buy or sell, it is always RM1.00 per unit. Which is the reason i'm saying it is almost free of risk. Dividend yield is another story. It could be high or low depending on the market. But as far as i know, highest yield that i have received is 8% while lowest is still a respectable 6.6%.

Axis Global will be the largest shariah reit in the world. Different from the listed Axis Reit as Axis Global invests in industrial properties outside of Malaysia. You'll get your quarterly dividend. Not confusing after you get more info.

It has nothing to do with Axreit actually. Just another reit that potential being launched and listed by the same management.

Guys, i am newbie here.
I wanna to ask, by looking at P/NTA, still some are still traded below NTA. What is your view ? Is this because these REITs are not performing as its' peers.
Maybe you can share thought for my learning.

Got a stocks, I try to Q at the current buy Q.....and not getting it, next day straight away fly. Should I buy it first on that day itself with 0.01 higher, I don't even have to keep the stocks after T+3

QUOTE(ryan18 @ Apr 5 2011, 12:55 PM) susahlah to be a small trader, nobody seems to want to sell 1-2 lots.started trading yesterday,is this normal? I think that you have been seriously misunderstood. If you want to buy 1-2 lots, you can buy it if you queue at the correct price or you queued longer duration than others people. You do not need to wait for a seller to sell 1-2 lots to match your order. Let say you queue to buy at RM1 for 2 lots and there is a seller to sell at RM1 for 100 lots. Then it will happen that you bought 2 lots at RM1 while the seller still remaining 98 lots to sell. If you do not want to queue at a stingy price, then just buy at higher price.
