Like most of the others I guess, biggrin.gif 428 in the master bed and 500A in the living,

My original plan was to convert one of the bedroom to an AV room but the space is too small, sweat.gif, so the mosnter is resting in the living room instead.

These are the revised settings for the 428XG and Astro B.Yond.

The last time I made a mistake during calibration by enabling Pure Cinema Advance. There is a bug in the 428XG where the Advance reduces luminance.

Please use this from now.

anfielddude,
thanks for the calibration setup, will definately try that later tonight.

Condo living has it's flip side i.e. pets not allowed. Always wanted a dog but it kinda absurd getting Sony AIBO since I don't have any newspaper or slippers for it to fetch  biggrin.gif

Hence, I thought I'll teach this puppy to flip some switches rather than roll over  brows.gif

Retail price is circa RM1K. All the remote codes can be downloaded from Logitech's massive online database. If a particular model is not found, you can manually program it via IR. The best thing about Logitech's software is while you're manually programming your remote, it runs a search in the background to identify a similar remote (and commands) and recommends it even before you complete the manual process. Easily saves you 30 mins. That's sweet!  icon_idea.gif

Depending on your HT setup, it may take some time to configure a complex setup.

This is a pure IF remote. Should you have any AV equipment stored in a covered cabinet, it is best to get the Harmony 900/1100 that has RF capabilities.

Overall, it's a great couch potato light saber bruce.gif. Besides, it really compliments the Pioneer PDPs as it comes in Piano Black.

Built-wise, I miss the KRP-500A remote. The sheer heft and all metal construct feels better in your hand  blush.gif

On the 'Bright' side, this remote has the advantage of big white backlit buttons   thumbup.gif

Haha.. I know the feeling, Bro.

I still remember the time when the sales guys was reeling out my 500A along with my other LX stuff, it kinda attracted some unwanted attention at the counter. Pie-Sieh blush.gif

Anyway, have fun! Congratulations rclxms.gif

Ouch, I feel your pain. Your wallet must be pretty sore brows.gif

Look on the bright side, you'll be pampered visually both in your living room & bedroom for many years to come thumbup.gif

No need to rush ahead with the AV setup la. Savor and enjoy what you have at the moment tongue.gif

In my opinion KRP-S03 has pretty good SQ (of course you can't really compared with external speakers) but the speakers alone beats the crap out of my previous Sammy HTIB rclxub.gif

Consider getting a sub-woofer and plug it into KRP-M01. Try contacting htkaki for a SVS sub.

Do share with us on the outcome biggrin.gif

Logitech Harmony One - There's one unit available at the IT shop right above Little Penang @ Midvalley

Good Luck! tongue.gif

Anyone has any idea why the LX series is so much more expensive than the regular models (AVR & Blu-RRay Players)? hmm.gif

If I'm not mistaken, LX series is the premier product line of Pioneer, thus all the component is better.

yeap....LX is the premium range with all the bells and whistes smile.gif

Amongst others, all of the 09/10 LX receivers ( except 51/52 ) features power amp stages build on B&O's much acclaimed ICEPower amplifier modules. A very popular Class-D design that has been putting a bit of smile on the faces of many hardcore audiophiles.
If I'm not wrong , Pioneer is the first manufacturer to introduce HD receivers incorporating such amplification.
They were also the first manufacturer to research and incorporate room analysis feature in form of the very first MCACC which is in its advanced form in these latest bunch of receivers. They're Pioneers indeed smile.gif

And talkin bout the bluray players , the LX features Pioneer's own SoC chip and provides excellent video processing . It also features PQLS locking which when paired with PQLS receivers ( such as the LX receivers ) produces a jitter free digital signal transmission via HDMI.

Kalido..... Thanks for the detail explanation thumbup.gif

Then again, 51/52 being LX models as well. How does Pioneer classify them as LX?

In addition to AVRs, BDPs also have a LX range as well. Let's not forget the premium HTIBs LX61 & LX70 rclxub.gif

Premium category, better components is the pitch, at least on paper but it doesn't really go into the details hmm.gif

Anyone has a more precise definition on the LX classification? biggrin.gif

The reason i guess why 51/52 are still consided LX is because they share many of the feature found on the higher echelon models and only lack a few of the more advanced feautes .

So being on border of high-end and mid , and offering pretty much most of the high-end features, Pioneer must have decided it's better to just label them as LX .

Regarding the LX BDP, as I'v mentioned above , they certainly boost more feautes compared to the none LX version. How useful they are , certainly comes down to buyer I guess. smile.gif
