OK all good.
Max powered up and b.yond powered up. Hooked up the audio via digital coax instead of the left/right rca out to the home theatre and the sound is just awesome. Just like to know is recording enabled via the usb at all? |

QUOTE(natzakaria @ Feb 26 2010, 11:49 PM) In 2010, ASTRO aims to be the first in the world to offer video recording through external hard drive. With this service, customers can record their favourite programmes and personalize their TV viewing schedules. Astro B.yond will also introduce Digital Video Recording (DVR), Video on Demand (VOD) and IPTV connectivity in phases over the next 24 months.- http://www.astro.com.my/byond/faq.asp |

In my previous ASTRO setup, I used AEM Xtra Link 2 to connect two TVs (both LCDs) to my decoder. It worked like a charm.
With B.yond, I read somewhere that you need an RF converter as the new decoder does not have RF output. I just bought a AEM 8002 (AV to RF Converter) which uses PAL / BG at Channel 3. However, I get very white picture with noisy sound. The AV-RF is not faulty cos I've tested it with a DVD Player and works fine (clear picture, excellent sounds). Only when I connect it to Astro B.yond decoder then this happens. My connection is B.YOND --> RCA Out AV (Red,White Yellow) -----> AEM8002 ------> RF Out ----->TV. I don' think its the cable or anything cos it works fine with the DVD. Auto tuning the TV also did not solve the problem. My signal is at 255 (100%) so it should not be a prob. Can some one help me out? |

Make sure you connect it using composite video & audio (Red, White & Yellow) not Component (Red, Blue & Green) Try other source as well This post has been edited by eMKs: Feb 27 2010, 09:42 AM |
