In my previous ASTRO setup, I used AEM Xtra Link 2 to connect two TVs (both LCDs) to my decoder. It worked like a charm.

With B.yond, I read somewhere that you need an RF converter as the new decoder does not have RF output. I just bought a AEM 8002 (AV to RF Converter) which uses PAL / BG at Channel 3. However, I get very white picture with noisy sound. The AV-RF is not faulty cos I've tested it with a DVD Player and works fine (clear picture, excellent sounds). Only when I connect it to Astro B.yond decoder then this happens.

My connection is
B.YOND --> RCA Out AV (Red,White Yellow) -----> AEM8002 ------> RF Out ----->TV.
I don' think its the cable or anything cos it works fine with the DVD.
Auto tuning the TV also did not solve the problem.

My signal is at 255 (100%) so it should not be a prob.

Can some one help me out?

Obviously, Astro will not offer thru TM HSBB. nod.gif
Maybe using fixed line Maxis Broadband

It's not 1MB, actually 1Mbps  smile.gif

Make sure you connect it using composite video & audio (Red, White & Yellow) not Component (Red, Blue & Green)
Try other source as well

i'm using the composite cable and not RGB. Another forumer here said he's using the same AEM AV-RF converter but gets clear connection. Could it be something to do with astro settings?

Composite & Component output is fixed at 576i, there's no setting you can change. Try connect from byond composite output direct to your tv. If ok, try connect AEM to other source as well

I have tried your suggestions which turns out ok from decoder direct to tv. DVD player composite thru AEM RF out to tv also ok (clear pic and sound).
Only when B.yond composite --> AEM RF ---> TV not ok (blurry photo n noise).

I'm sure they'll fix the Video problem sometime soon....
But did anyone notice that the audio has been fixed to some extent, no more louder audio in the HD channels. But it seems that the volume (in Astro) does not seem to work, or is it my tv?
