Cannot do check for update now coz this is 1-way communication.. Satellite will send the update software periodically. If when the send it, and ur decoder in standby then it will be updated.. If not, need to wait for next round..

Maybe when they utilize the LAN port, then we can use check now for update..

the lan port is locked lol...tried to connect to my laptop, gave me some weird ip and cant connect, but can ping la lol

then tested the usb port...put thumbdrive in no respond but got light up.... i guess it can only work as a charger of devices now LOL

Officially Astro B.yond user today!

Register last week..they call on Saturday.Sunday got sms from Astro.. and today the installer came.

My house got 2 dmt..one is b.yond one is old one..Both using the same dish...

just changed mini package to enable learning from news. add two HD channel for a one time fee rm10 not bad la (really bad choice in choosing news sad.gif )

how is the installation like? do they change all the old cable? i plan to get the byond but my house wiring is all concealed in the wall.

not need to change the cable if yours is new. in my case used existing cable.

They only change the DTU to Dish cable. Still can use the old one if conceal..Problem is u dun get the new one saja-loh

They didn't touch my wiring but some people have had wiring replaced. Depends on the condition of it. They will chcek it and let you know when they come for the install.

Astro installer came and fix Astro Beyond 1 hour ago, but alamak the new smart card is inactivate, the Astro installer called Astro, apparently their system down and can't activate my smartcard yet. Only can listen to radio stations cry.gif Dunno how long it takes to activate the smart card? Anyone experience the same problem for today Astro Beyond installation?

hurm..mine was activated around 2.40..working fine now..enjoying history hd currently...

anyway my installer just take the dmt and remote,smart card and the dish only...other such as power and rca cable,he say to keep it...he even suggested me to give the ciplak remote if u have

the SD and HD sound difference seem to be fix after update
