Well.. All this while I didn't realise they didn't enable the DD 5.1 over HDMI. I just thought TV no sound when set to DD 5.1 because the TV can't decode DD 5.1 stream.  blush.gif
Mine connected to the AVR using coaxial out..  rclxms.gif

so stupid the astro decoder, how come cannot transmit DD5.1 over HDMI?

whereas for DVD player able to do so thru HDMI.

anybody know why? thx

720p is a full screen image per frame.
What do you mean you saw lines?
How close were you to the TV?

Then you can only see it in 576i only, better get Full HD TV first before subscribe to byond.
Actually, 1080i is sharper than 720p. In my 32", i cant barely see the line within 1m shocking.gif
I also prefer 1080i mode in football telecast, it's better in La Liga HD so far (at least in my eyes). Maybe need really fast action sport (F1? rolleyes.gif ) to see the different.

for broadcast, 1080p is a bandwidth glutton, that's why HD channels broadcast in 1080i.... Just wait for better codec for us to enjoy 1080p TV

no, we tested in full HD lcd tv in my aunt house if you got see the previous post
we need a 200 frames per sec for F1, not a super duper HD
for football maybe we need, because sometimes we cant really see the footballer face

we do the football in 720p

720p is a sharper image then 1080i and is more suited to fast moving images.

Bro,

Since saw you mention somewhere you're working with Astro, can you explain why those who opt for yearly billing need to pro-rate billed from Byond activation date?

In my case, my next billing cycle was 16 March and since my Sports package was price protected until next billing cycle, then after pro-rate due to Byond activation, then how was it being calculated?

I yet to get a copy of my statement after 2 call to CS to request for a fax over to me and another request to email me a copy of statement via Astro website submission. If you want me to wait for mailed statement, then I need to wait another 2 ~ 3 weeks. Thanks to Pos Malaysia.

Thanks in advance!

My story just wanna share 4 fun here:

13/01 - Call Astro to order Byond
14/01 - Get T&C call from Astro
15/01 - Get another T&C call from Astro (Giving great service to woo me!)
16/01 - Installer call and came. But cannot install. Got printing error on his form regarding the Smartcard number. He can't deal with it then since it was Saturday and office close. Fine..I understand.
19/01 - Call installer. He said printing error still being fixed
20/01 - Call CS to ask the status
21/01 - CS call ask my Smartcard number. They will call Byond department and ask the status.

I just want to share my experience. Not complaining not condemning. I know Astro said in 10 working days to get install. I know they say 1st come 1st serve service.

The thing is..I almost got Byond in 3days. But they need more than 3days to fix printing error. Thats the only problem 4 me. Still, I will wait and see. Keep a smile on my face biggrin.gif
