You can do yourself. First you need to find out how the split is done at the moment (hopefully it's RF or composite. S-Video difficult a bit because the converter very expensive online and is almost impossible to find in shops). Astro person can tell you how it's currently split. After that, you just need to get the required device and set it up. If in doubt, get Astro person, then get the contractor who wired your splitting for you.

Getting/importing the Avermedia HD DVR... any local salers? Hope will not be taxed (require SIRIM cert) or declaration form (RM 40).

Hi all,

I have my astro beyond installed already. I plan to get a DVD plater with RECORDING feature.

Just to confirm with you guys that i'm able to record astro programme through it as i read in the thread before that some ppl have issue to record.

full HD TV broadcast is very hard to come by, even in the advanced countries such as the US of A
you can actually force it to display 1080p50 using your full HDTV/AVR upscaling+de-interlace function

got msg from astro. they had assigned an installer to install it at my home. usually how long it takes for the installer to contact me? or, better i give him a call, for faster installation?

by right they should done it. 1080p is just perfect and will remain as standard for at least another 10 years.
line are almost invi for most tv with below 40 inch (with 5m away)

if you could find anyone broadcast their TV channels in full HD, I am also interested
read up this list, none are broadcasted in 1080p
