What about the charges for new Astro account if the person never had Astro before? Would it be RM199 as well ?
In the earlier post, someone posted it to be RM30 ? (If I'm not mistaken)

RM30 installation fee suppose to be offer till end of Dec 2009 only. You can request to switch to Byond immediately after your Astro account activated.

The easiest is to leave the Byond decoder on standby mode when you're not using it. Mine updated in that way. Else someone posted in pages back that you need to press certain button on decoder when you reboot it to force an update.
*
Press the 3 buttons from left to right (power, up, down (or down, up, forgot the second button is up or down) ), then the decoder is boot itself and check for auto-update. If I not mistaken, current firmware is 23-Dec-2009.

As long as you have a '√' mark beside the entry point, that mean that particular entry point was selected. Else power off and reboot as what tHeRiDdLeR say in previous post.

Thanks willkso and HeRiDdLeR,

Rebooting did the trick..i'm now on point #8 with 244 signal strenght rclxms.gif

hi, wanna inform u that my problem already solved...
actually that's the wrong settings in my PVR software...
I have wrongly select the video system... actually it's PAL (since Malaysia used PAL system).., but my PVR software keep set it to NTSC (US system)...
but now already solved after download the latest driver and software from Leadtek website... biggrin.gif

But for recording via Cyberlink PowerDirecyor it is still imposibble... sad.gif
but I have satisfied with that bundled PVR software...

1080i (not sports) and 720p (sports)

don't you plan on having other sources (like Blu-ray)?

If I'm not mistaken, RM30 will be 2 years contract and RM199 will be 1 year contract only.

Anyway I'm on B.Yond at this moment.

RM25/month for AOD is OK if you have time to watch and like TVB drama. I think normal price is about RM4x. But remember to cancel it after 2 month else the price will back to normal.....ALSO remember AOD is NOT HD. TVB HK is showing their drama in HD but when AOD will start HD sweat.gif blush.gif

No con, i got that mid last year, they only call chinese customers for that deal.

yes, they only charge you RM25, instead of usual 54.95.

but when u cancel after 2months, you pay RM10 for cancellation fee.

and of course you want to finish that drama before cancellation, so the days and weeks after the 2months is pro-rated using the full rate. so they dont actually loose out a lot.
