QUOTE(nders @ Jun 30 2010, 02:30 PM) hi guys, can sifus point me to a shop/seller that able to ship subwoofer to Kuching East Malaysia? my budget is RM800. I need those with RCA in and volume to be used with a pair of active monitors for music listening. No need too good, cos i just need the extra oomph. Thanks! i think RM800 can get the low-end yamaha subwoofer.

Whats a good music sub for 3-3.8k.
So far, i had ppl on avs telling me Rel R305 and a friend recommend me Paradigm DSP 3400.
I can audit the 3400 but as for rel i proly can audit their other line.
My experience on hifi subwoofer limited, only ever heard wharf powercube 8, b&w sub (playing astro zz) and dynaudio 10inch sub.

IMHO, REL R305 might have the upper edge over Paradigm DSP3400 since 3400 is ported. A ported sub could hardly match the tightness and pace of a sealed sub when playing music. It's kind of trade-off.
Hornyangmoh is clever. Having so many different subs.

Yeah, i just read horny's review, he didnt mention much about music performance.
I need to go audit them. Now i wondering the sb12-nsd how compared to those 2 subs. Is it still the pre-order period?

Bought a 25ft sub cable from monoprice before. I think they have longer ones but U need to check. Not sure if U can get it locally at a reasonable price or not.

Is it still the pre-order period? He! He! I am not a very 'musical' fellow, mostly I listen to bass music like Linking Park, Bass Hunter, Bass Mackenik etc ie I am a Bass nut.......... I do agree that a sealed sub is good for music as my latest sub 'collection' is Velo spl 1200 good for music with tight bass but for movie it sort of lack the 'chest hitting' bass effect. So to get the best of both I set up a 7.2 system with the combination of both sealed & ported sub.

Anyone interested in PB-13 vs eD A7s-650 review? But it is in Mandarin done by Taiwanese. Note that PB-13 is tune at 20hz (by looking at the graph). http://www.myav.com.tw/bbs/showthread.php?...2&pagenumber=20

Anyone able to translate and give a summary of the comparison?
I see the thread contains the words "Seaton Submersive". So are there comparisons with that too?
