After doing some study, i found out that klipsh/synergy sub-12 kind of boleh tahan also (based on the specs)

Frequency response: 24 - 120 Hz +/- 3 dB

Max acoustic: 117dB
Driver: 12" fiber composite cone - down firing

my budget is RM800. I need those with RCA in and volume to be used with a pair of active monitors for music listening. No need too good, cos i just need the extra oomph.

KL can get lots I presume... but I'm in backwater Kuching where only those sharks hifi shops lurk around waiting to chop ppl... so I'm finding it hard to get an active sub...

any reputable shops that's willing to ship here?

Thanks for the info...i am using B&W684 as front, Q acoustic as center & energy satelite as surround...i checky my amp can set up to 250hz...can i set that high? or it will causing causing speaker koyak if set too high?

This is close mic'ed response. The 2nd chart was at listening position. My room is 17 x 15 but opens up on the right to a 30 x 12 ft.

Different characteristic kenot compare like that. It's up to your personal preference on ported vs sealed..

I guess F15 fare better than PB12-NSD for music since it's a ported sub, maybe I'm wrong too..

The 15 ins 400 watts rms is <2K.
Problem is to convince HM to have one in the hall. It certainly difficult to blend with decor.

How's the LFE now? Normally, in this kind of room, there is a 'suck out' of LFE to the dining room area.

Try to relocated your sub to the left of your living room. With about 2' from the front wall & about 1' from the left wall.

U can try velo ct 12" Got friend with similar living room & set up got LFE 'feeling'  

For better LFE 'feeling' get the DSP 3400 for sure ur living room plaster will get loosen! 

Not enough LFE? Then get two DSP 3400 

He! He! If ur a a BASS NUt Get the Sub 25 or Sub 2
