Guys, can someone point me to where i can buy SPL meter? Im searching online ofcos. Something similar to what you guys use perhaps?

There is a lot of model on ebay, which is cheap and can measure accurately?

I have a few question regard it. Since i am on stereo amp and im thinking to get a subwoofer.
1. Do i need a spl meter to calibrate the gain, phase, crossover?
2. How to calibrate? I assume i need test tones? Or any music will do?

Tis is sooo funny.......

Plane only allow 20-25kg boss. 85kg sub 1 human cannot carry boss. If serious want to buy, which i doubt, you fly down to KL during KLIAV loh.

Please consider other ppl b4 making ridiculous request.

Whats a good music sub for 3-3.8k.

So far, i had ppl on avs telling me Rel R305 and a friend recommend me Paradigm DSP 3400.

I can audit the 3400 but as for rel i proly can audit their other line.

My experience on hifi subwoofer limited, only ever heard wharf powercube 8, b&w sub (playing astro zz) and dynaudio 10inch sub.

Yeah, i just read horny's review, he didnt mention much about music performance.

I need to go audit them. Now i wondering the sb12-nsd how compared to those 2 subs. Is it still the pre-order period?

hmmm, very tempting, im actually waiting for my fren to come my house with his amps to see if i need to change amp or add sub.

Would tat sub be ok in a pentagonish shape room which is roughly 15x10x8

Quite envious of the avs forumers... when they talk about pricing... dollar to dollar they are paying so little compared to what they make, after converting, still cheaper, then add shipping and tax....

Hmmm, for me, high chance im delaying sub purchase , going for bookshelf instead which is easier to drive than my floorstand. Most probably Dynaudio DM 2/8, will go audit this wednesday. Just audited DM 2/7 2 days ago.

But somehow or the other, i will get a sub in the near future

Hopefully i dont have to, will find out after i carry my amp over to audit tis wed at my friend's house. Im gonna be dry after tis
