Their office miscommunication? I can't get you. The number that you tried to call is busy or nobody picks up?
*
Sorry for the confusion. I've called up the number as stated in the letter for activation. Its a computer automated answering machine and I've key-in the necessary details as requested. After double confirmation, it says my card have been activated.

When I want to swipe the card - unable to do so. Called up the Service Centre they mentioned that my card have been blocked due to some unknown issues. Need to ask the officer to call me up for verification. And there goes the story of pushing the responsibility to the credit control department - customer service - in the end, I asked for the in charge person to solve the issue for me after numerous complain about the miscommunication issue.

Really got such difference between self-pick at the branch and mail to your doorstep for MBB CC?
Yeah. My mom got both of her Ikhwan VISA and Green Charge Card through courier service and both needed to be activated over the phone prior to using it.

The office boy in my company, earning around RM1.2k per month, got himself a platinum credit card today.

I'm still in shock.

Platinum CC is very easy to obtain nowadays due to the competative market and issuers keep decreasing the requirement.

Many issuers will roll out World Mastercard and Visa Infinite soon to capture the higher end customers.

I think they will coming out with their Ultima CC in M'sia very soon to replace their "real" platinum level customers.

The most prestigious credit card offered by Citigroup is actually their Chairman Card. It is offered exclusively to Citi Private Bank clients.

Not likely, otherwise he won't have to work as an office boy.

Unless his dad is the super frugal 'millionaire next door' type who wants his son to build character through hardship ...

Does anyone here knows how to enable the feature like Mastercard Secure Code when you are using Online Credit Card payment - just for security purpose ?
Does VISA comes with such feature too ?

Thank you.

Today I use MBF credit card to book online at Airasia.com. The payment using MBF credit card will not succeed (it says decline, even though it's OK to use in shopping or dining) and I realized that I have not activate the Mastercard securecode for online payment using MBF card. So I proceed to activate it at MBF website, created password and personal greeting message. The payment to Airasia.com went thru using the MBF card after doing that. smile.gif

That's cool biggrin.gif

Maybe the office boy in your office has lots of 'other source of income' with 'proof' or have enough money to FD then get a secured Platinum CC or he have another card with more than 1 year, house or car loans (any bank loans) with good credit record and/or the credit limit of existing card is a platinum's credit limit.
