QUOTE(Fortelover @ Dec 23 2009, 09:46 PM) the underpower of Forte is felt when climbing even small hill.. 1.6l pulling 1.3 tonne is okay, no worse than other cars of the same class, power and weight found commonly in msia........in many countries however, 1.6l would be considered significantly underpowered, and the 2l is the minimum entry level car marketed, with a 2.4l version for those who wants more oomph..... |

Time to mod Forte for better power The one at Sec 17 PJ.Guess what, i made 5.5L/100km FC by cruising along Federal Highway @ 60km/h (at night, line clear).. Can not believe it? Try out! Added on December 24, 2009, 12:21 am QUOTE(yhlee12 @ Dec 23 2009, 11:16 PM) m thinking of these instead The one on first link is a hub cap.. Tot it might be hard to replace that without calar-ing the rim? That's why looking at sticker instead..http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Kia-Cerato-...sQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-09-10-K...sQ5fAccessories http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OEM-09-10-K...sQ5fAccessories was asked to pay before so that can get car faster, but i ended up didn't pay at all. we SHOULD NOT be paying these things. QUOTE(python @ Dec 23 2009, 09:35 PM) Where did you book your Forte? Juru Autocity branch or Macalister Road branch? ... I booked at Macalister Road branch and was asked to pay but didn't pay. initially they insisted that i have to pay, but after calling the careline my SA said no need to pay. If they insist that you have to pay, then tell them that you will call careline to check cos many didn't pay. |

I just checked the website http://www.forte.my/ and notice the maintainence cost not really that cheap. About same price and sometimes exceed the service charge for Accord at Honda dealer.

QUOTE(Fortelover @ Dec 23 2009, 09:46 PM) the underpower of Forte is felt when climbing even small hill.. yes. you'll feel the underpower when travelling at hilly road. but you must absorb the FC pain la. use the shiftronic function and you can gain control the power. But i did achieved 6.2L/100km on DUKE last night try use the "instant" display and train your foot not to exceed 10L level for most of the driving time. |

Regarding the first 3 service at 1k, 5k & 10k for Forte, the labour is free right? Got situation here...if we use fully synthetic engine oil at 1k service, the next service intervals (10k) the labour should also be free right. Let say we still using fully synthetic engine oil at 10k service, the next (3rd) service is at 20k, the labour is still free or not? why compare to accord? should only compare to civic. and the charges also not lower than kia. in the websites, both pricing also use mineral. and please take note for fully synthetic the price is higher (for forte) Is it the service charge is the same for 1.6 & 2.0? |

Just made my first call to the Naza-Kia's Care line. I would rate it as a 5 out of 5 experiences beside the point that I didn't get the answer to my questions ( not the care line operator fault but rather the information they have with them )
- When asked for my name to check on the system. They could not find my name in the system, not even booking information where I have placed my booking deposit in November. She asked for the Branch I placed ordered and she said will do a follow up with the branch on my booking. - When asked when will be the 2.0SX available, she is saying in January but she does not know whether is beginning, mid or end of January but she said the Management's information is January. - When asked if she knows how many units or if it is sufficient to delivers to existing customers that booked the car. She has no figures on hand. - When I asked if the January is a confirmed information for 2.0SX finally available for customer, she than hesitated and inform that they will only sure in January ( sounded like they still not sure if Jan will be the time ) - I explained to her that I need to know before end of next week if there will be a car in January as I will need cancel the Forte booking to secure another car with the offered price before end of the year. in overall, the experience on the care line is good... much much better compared to calling StreamyX |
